I missed this post somehow.

I was all set on buying one of these, then the IL "assault weapons" ban was passed and immediately enacted. Then I got interested in the foxtrot mike side charger which was cheaper and got good reviews. I was convinced that when I got to Florida I'd buy one of their 11.5" 5.56 uppers and adapt it to one of my lowers.

Also talked myself out of that. I'm putting together a 7.62x39 10.5 inch pistol instead. Conventional rear charging handle and buffer/buffer tube so it won't fold, but I can live with that. Parts ordered, waiting on them.
