If you gave me the choice between McDermott and Miles I’d probably say I’ll just keep Miles.

Difference between the 2 is one of them had a son who was the best player in the entire country, and now he gets 4-stars knocking on his door.

If Nebraska makes it next season and wins a game or something whilst there, I guarantee you he’ll get a full extension.

If Nebraska falls short, he’s gone. No questions asked. That’s exactly what a 1 year extension means.

How many one year extensions has Miles gotten over his tenure here? This isn't the first I know that much.

Bahe has spoke on this plenty about how a team will not succeed long term when the coaching staff is playing for their jobs year in and year out and I agree. Assistant coaches always looking for escape plans because the future is uncertain every year, and the same with players.

I truly hope this is it for Miles one way or the other. Tournament or bust. For real this time. If he has a good year and makes the tournament, then you commit to him and give him a multi year extension and push your chips in. If he doesn't make the tourney then say thanks for the memories.
