right. i'm on a mini-break from the family with friends. we want to enjoy ourselves. I don't want to empty my wallet.

If this is the last time I visit the campus on Lincoln, NE., where do I HAVE to visit? That's what I am looking for. Buildings? Certain bars. I love food, but if you can add some more, even better.

not looking for strip clubs (unless there is that really good one)

I'm driving from Denver to Lincoln to watch my Hoosiers against you guys in Feb.

Need suggestions for:

A. Food. Breakfast is free in the hotel. I need some nice lunch and dinner places

B. Bars. Want to have some fun

any other suggestions?

Lincoln is packed with great bars downtown. It’s hard to really go wrong at any of them. Head to O street and just start bar hopping.

As for food, Lazlo’s is pretty good stuff and it’s right there in the Haymarket. It’s also a brewery so there’s good beer there as well. I also love the shit out of Bison Witches. It’s a little soup and sandwich place a few blocks away from the arena. Another little bar environment, and the chips and queso is realllllly good.

There’s also a really good Indian food place called the Oven down in the Haymarket if you’re into that kinda food.

Probably one of the coolest things about where the arena is located is that if you walk out the front door there is actually a new area there with a bunch of bars and restaurants connected to each other where you can take your beer and walk around outside. Lincoln’s a fun little town. You should enjoy it.

I’m hoping some other folks chip in here with suggestions, but if not I’ll add some more before that time comes.

The “Bar” bar is a fave of mine but it’s further from the arena than most other options. Only about a 5 minute drive. N Zone in the Haymarket can be fun. Barry’s is somewhat of a staple during football season.

Blue Sushi is right by the arena and probably one of the better sushi joints in town.

Huskers jump up to #62 in RPI rankings.

Our losses are against teams ranked 7th, 10th, 23rd, 33rd, 58th, 64th, and 125th.

Penn State is currently 125th but I see them likely cracking top 100 before long. So we don’t have any bad losses really.

Had we got that one over Kansas (#7) we’d be ranked somewhere closer to 40th.

Our biggest problem is we have only 2 more games against teams that could make tourney with #21 Ohio State and #48 Maryland. We just have too many bad teams left on schedule

If we get to 20 wins I think we are gonna make it. 21 would probably get us in for sure.

I just don’t know if we can get there. If every game was against a top 25 team in the PBA I’d say we’re in, but for whatever reason we can’t get up for any other kind of matchup. Our crowd becomes deadly when we play in a game like that, but any other time it’s just sad.

Seen Ohio St play once this season and they look like they are on BoP's strength and conditioning program. Some chubby fellas in their front court.

Look, I think we've seen our blueprint for Success this season. Watson being the true point guard. Copeland and Palmer getting the points with some help from Roby. And if they are having off nights we still have Watson who can pick up the slack or even take over if needed. And then defense defense defense. I don't know that the rebounding problem can be solved this late in the season though.

Who knows, maybe we’ll match up well and be able to take Bates-Diop out of the game.

With as physical as we play on Defense it usually depends on how much the officiating crew is willing to let us play on the road.

I think I’m most interested to see just how we come off of a big win. 95% of the time a team that isn’t used to success comes out flat when they play a big game on the road a few days later.

Also, expectations suddenly ramped up. After the Michigan win a BTN analyst predicted that Nebraska will make it to the Sweet 16.

There is suddenly a bit of noise to deal with and we’re still relatively young.

I'm still not going to watch. I don't want to jinx them. Turning there small chance for a win into zero chance.

Well, 9 games remain......5 at home, 4 on the road.

In my opinion we need to split those road games. I’d rather it start with a win at Rutgers tomorrow, but I’ll take 2 road wins out of those 4 any way we can get them.

2 road wins and 4 out of 5 at home and we’re sitting at 20 wins which puts us on the better side of the bubble.

I just feel like losing tomorrow night quickly puts some doubt on this season whereas winning it does exactly the opposite. I see it as kind of a pivotal game at this point. Win tomorrow night on the road and then we have a very very favorable game against Iowa at home on Saturday which would likely get us to 16 wins with 7 games left.

You could easily make a case that every single game we have left on the schedule is huge, but the one tomorrow night seems to carry a lot of weight the way I see it.

A sign that we’ve improved since the start of this season?

We’re 10-1 ATS in the last 11 games. The 1 game we underperformed was against Illinois where we blew a double digit lead and had to rely on a circus shot to win at the buzzer.

Safe to say we’re vastly underrated at this point.
