Sweet Sixteen: Day Two (Fri.)

Looks like four more interesting games tonight, particularly NC State v. Louisville and Oklahoma v. MSU. Don't expect the Bruins to hang with the Zags, but I also didn't expect UCLA to get past SMU in the opening round.

These games just don't seem, on paper as good as the ones yesterday did. And even the ones yesterday turned out to be crappers. All in all, this tournament outside of the first 4 hours, has been extremely lame IMO. The E8 should be great, especially if we see Duke/Gonzaga in the South. Nobody in the East region is really a must see team.

Louisville v. NC State could be ugly. Two good defensive teams that don't score a lot. I am leaning toward State, but I won't be too surprised if the Cards win.

Spartans are a dangerous team. I picked OU in my bracket, but I think MI State is likely to win tonight.

I thought that UNC v. Wisconsin was quite a good game. Also looking forward to watching Okafor play tonight. He and Winslow were pretty stellar against SD State.

I thought that whoever won the Virginia MSU game was going to win the bracket before the tourney started. Michigan State's strength is Oklahoma's weakness. But if MSU shoots like they did against virginia, Sooners could come out with the win.

My East and South brackets are a mess...only hae Louisville ad Duke remaining and Louisville losing to Virginia; that's not going to happen.

Me too. Even though Louisville was suspect during the season, Pitino always seems to get the boys ready for the NCAA tournament. Same with Tom Izzo.

Probably reflects Izzo's history in the tournament. That and the win over UVA.
