He has to clear waivers so he might not be a member of the Blues. I have no idea what happened. This guy scored 30 one year & has taken a nose dive ever since. The Blues have a bunch of injuries up front so they had to do something I guess. Tarasenko looks good but he's at least 1 year away.

He had a hell of a rookie season in Denver then he got hurt (2nd or 3rd season). I think it was his hand/wrist (not sure). When he came back he had regressed and it kept going down hill from there. He looked like a sure fire future top line guy for a bit.

He got hurt in his rookie season. Had 32 goals in 60-ish games. Probably would have gotten 40 as a rookie if he didn't get hurt. Never came close to that kind of production again. IIRC he was on Kootenay's Memorial Cup championship team. Good player. I think injuries just took their toll on him.

I'd like to see him make a comeback this year if he clears re-entry waivers. I've always thought he had a lot of potential. Good to see him back in the league.

He's a Cy Young candidate for sure. Blues need finishers, so it should be a good fit.

If the Islanders don't pick Svatos up on waivers I'm going to be ticked off. They just saved over 1.8 million bucks. 700 thousand better not be a problem. If the Isles do claim him & he doesn't report, he can go to HELL.

Nashville has been very streaky this season, sort of lacking the consistency of a Trotz coached team we have seen through the years.

I'm rather surprised they didn't jump as well.
very close to minimum wage, a one year deal, a two-way deal, and some real talent there.
there is simply no downside.

on second thought, that really doesn't fit into the Isles' contract mold at all, does it.
