The only thing that matters is if he can play. 100% of his teammates will say they are ok with, 100% will get sick of talking about gay rights on the first day of OTA's.

I think most will be cool with it but I'm not sure the question is are they ok with playing with a gay dude as opposed to a guy who is going garner that much attention. Most guys want to just play football not be part of a political statement.

For the 14 % that wont, I hope they will accept a punch to the face without hitting me back. I run fast, but not nfl player fast.

Or is incognito so fat hes considered to be 14 percent of the nfl?

I'm not talking physically. I'm talking if he's a head case like Martin was.

The guy clearly is suffering from some sort of mental illness and you are calling him a pussy. Shame on you man, you clearly are ignorant of the struggles of many, many people. People are different than you man, accept it. By the way you have your own issues as well. Heaven forbid anyone ever call you out on your "shortcomings" that cause you to deviate from the norm.

Useless poll is useless. They took a poll of less than 3% of NFL players & they think this is representative of the NFL as a whole? If they had at least 10 players from each NFL locker room participate in this poll & came up with the same percentages, then I would agree with their conclusion. But extrapolating their conclusion from such a small sample size renders their conclusion worthless.

Not sure how you got to that point but I guess this is how polls are done....rendering them useless really. How about we just say 0% to 100% don't care as we will never realy know. This will play out soon enough and we will see in the coming years.

There are thousands and thousands of studies on the effectiveness and accuracy of polling. I don't have the time to even scratch the surface, but the information is out there for you to research if you're interested.

Polls are accurate to their +/- numbers assuming the selection of people is completely random. I wouldn't question the % as much as I'd question the selection of who to poll, which is unclear.

David Stern and the NBA beat the NFL to the punch today. The Brooklyn Nets became the first team in a major American sports league to sign a known homosexual when they signed Jason Collins to a 10-day contract.
The Nets and the NBA will now get the major media attention and it will probably be lessened for the NFL.

I would be comfortable with a gay teammate but not in the locker room. It's a similar feeling to having a girl in the locker room.
