Bigger head start and a more organized movement to SportsHoopla.

The Seahawks board really didn't start to get going till last summer and people slowly started to trickle in and now it's got a decent size group of people and I venture to guess if word of mouth keeps spreading other boards will grow as well.

We don't want trolling of any sort. I know the hawks board on ESPn was trolled but some of you trolled the niners board on ESPN, and they want nothing to do with that here. They have zero tolerance. Then simply have a no outsider at all policy and be done with it. I was banned for saying maybe Bowman asked for the popcorn that was thrown down on him because he tore up a sign just a few feet away from that the prior visit to the stadium and those are all ticket holders that remember that shit. How is that trolling?

The problem isn't trying to keep your board from getting away, it's that they ban people who haven't done anything that resembles trolling. No warnings, no private messages nothing. In my case not only was I banned from the SF board, but the asshole banned me from the entire site and said in that thread I was lucky I didn't get a perm ban. A perm ban from the hoop for what? For saying maybe you shouldn't tear up fans posters if you don't want popcorn thrown at you? That's worthy of being kicked for good?

Dude we just lost the NFCCG in the most painful fashion and emotions were running high not the time to come over and expect some "good natured ribbing" to be tolerated, was a perma ban from the forums a bit excessive ? I would say so, but in all fairness there were some other Hawk fans who were generally trolling and I think the Mods just had enough with anything resembling a Seahawk poster and a smart ass remark. Boogiewithstu has been posting on the 49er boards for a long ass time and never has any problem with the Mods because he is respectful and actually talks football.

And about the whole poster ripping thing, what was the dumbass thinking when he handed it over to him, he was gonna sign it and politely hand it back ? It was a Poster bashing his team he gave it to him to get a reaction like that out of him.

I totally agree that it was over kill, The Mods over there are a strange bunch and I often read the 49er board's and find myself shaking my head at some of the posters remarks. But they enjoy their little world over there and probably view the General Boards as a Sub Human wasteland of some sort and just stay away.

ESPN was baaaaad imagine a slightly more organized You Tube video comment section. It was like 90% shit talking troll threads and 10% football info posts.

ESPN was horrible. That's the only way to describe it. There were 3 or 4 super trolls who had who knows how many accounts and argued with each other day in and day out about Brady and Peyton. They even got to the point where they would talk to themselves. I tried the NBA board, but it was the same way. Super trolls arguing about MJ, Kobe, and LeBron all day every day. Every main board had that problem eventually.

The best board there for a long time was the college football board. It was active every day, and it had the most respectable, consistent daily posters. We had a lot of fun times there. Discussed most things civilly, it was great. But then one day of course, the trolls attacked and it was over. A lot of crazy things happened, and a lot of us just found other places to post besides the main boards.

Just seemed like the mods there either were not actively doing their job, or just didn't care that the board was a zoo. I didn't want to give up because the population was so huge. But of course eventually, ESPN took the easy way out and decided to shut it down instead of just permabanning the ones that were causing all the trouble.
