Told myself to cut back on leagues, then my cousin asked me if I wanted to join a SF dyno and reeled me in. Didn't have any SF leagues and I really love dynasty format.

Got the #2 draft slot so I'm really hoping Allen goes 1 so I can take Mahomes, but figured I'm solid with either choice.

Planning on best WR/QB2 from my rd2/3 picks.

Any thoughts on how early I should go QB3?

Sort of depends on your league mates, but to early is better then to late IMO so draft accordingly. Although I probably shouldn't be giving advice as I still trying to land the gold and currently in the process of a full on rebuild. Which is pretty fun. Having the #2 slot is nice because you can draft knowing your getting a stud at the most vital position and yes I think Mahomes is a lot safer then Allen but I'd be fine with Allen.

I've only drafted in one SF dynasty/keeper format (last yr) but imagine most are pretty much the same in valuing players. .... I'm not going to propose that I know who will be around but if you can snag a top tier WR and get another high tier QB on the turn you'll be glad you did - otherwise grab another high tier WR then grab another QB in the mid-range as it comes back to you. The QB's flew off the board in ours - but there are always the guys who take a more standard approach. From what happened in that league last yr those without two reliable QB's are doomed regardless since those QB pts are hard to overcome week to week. ... wish I could give you more but like I said my experience is limited. .. ...

It's a big difference between drafting in the front end and the back end. At the 2 spot, it's going to be tough to even get a QB 2 that your satisfied with. I did a $150 public one earlier this year and here is where the quarterbacks went. I actually went Jefferson at the 1.9 and the Lawrence at 2.4 and Tua at 3.9. I took Carr at the 11.9 as my 3rd QB. Hope this helps.

1.1 Allen
1.2 Mahomes
1.3 Stroud
1.4 Hurts
1.5 Herbert
1.6 Lamar
1.7 Caleb Williams
1.8 Burrow
1.10 Richardson
2.3 Love
2.4 Lawrence
2.5 Murray
2.6 Dak
3.3 Russell Wilson
3.4 Purdy
3.7 Jayden Daniels
3.8 JJ McCarthy
3.9 Tua
3.11 Goff
4.6 Drake Maye
5.1 Watson
5.11 Cousins
7.5 Bryce Young
8.1 Baker
8.7 Levis
10.1 Stafford
10.5 Bo Nix
11.2 Rodgers
11.5 Michael Penix
11.9 Carr
11.10 Geno
11.11 Daniel Jones
12.6 Justin Fields

Depends on the scoring and if it really is an advantage to start a qb over any other position.

many SF leagues will equalize scoring so the bad qbs are not necessarily better starts than a flex wr or rb.

If that is so then you can wait on the third. Until late rounds. If not, then you may need to get a third earlier depending on who your first 2 are.

Based on what Bandit provided... getting Allen/Mahomes as your QB1 and then Goff as your QB2 ... I'd be happy with that.

I know this board isnt a big fan of Rodgers, but adding some offensive weapons and reluctantly taking Stafford and/or Rodgers could pay off.

Please tell me you weren't the genius who took RW at 3.3. Regardless of if the draft happened while he was still in Denver or Pitt, pre Feilds or after... that's just plain sad. Especially with 150 on the line

Rodgers in a dynasty is a tough sell these days

 oh yeah, forgot that part. Had the mindset this was a redraft.

I'd still be happy with Goff as my QB2. Think the shelf life of veteran QB are severely lowballed.

Smoke-
Scoring Allen/Mahommes at 1.2, definite must do.

Scoring a QB2 at 2.11 or 3.1, also a must do. And if that's a Purdy or a Goff or a Tua, all is good. Wouldn't even shy away from one of those rooks.

As to the QB3, kinda depends on that QB2..if you go with a rookie, or Tua who is somewhat likely to not be around for 17 games, you might wanna snag one earlier than if you got a more stable guy like Goff or Purdy. Tough to say and certainly is going to depend on the positional runs in your particular draft

So if I'm being honest, that was actually Justin Fields that was drafted there and Wilson went later because when we drafted Fields was still on the Bears and Wilson wasn't on a team yet. I just switched them out, but honestly it doesn't make sense either way. I guess the guy thought that Fields would go somewhere and be the clear starter.

Ahhh I c..

Well in a fantasy, dynasty, setting, Feilds there, assuming he's a starter somewhere, isn't completely out of left feild. The guy scores fantasy points and is plenty young. Little bit of a gamble that didn't plan out, or that hasn't panned out yet. Definitely makes more sense than RW there, I would've expected him down by Rodgers, somewhere in that area

1.7, 3.7, 3.8, 4.6, 10.5. 11.5
Caleb, Daniels, McCarthy, Maye, Nix, Penix

Wonder why nobody has faith in Nix? Sean Peyton sure does, just ask him, he'll say so- probably while shaking his head 'no'

What are those guys that draft the rookie QBs going to do while they aren't starting? Seems like you should be targeting a QB4 as well as a QB3 early. But I'm not familiar with the format.

FIelds is a gamble.
True, he can rack up significant fantasy points. But there is a bit uncertainty if he cant improve his passing or help the Steelers win. Wont matter that he can run if the Ravens, Bengals and Browns are better.

For running backs

Jonathan Brooks 6.8
Benson went 8.6

And tight end

Bowers 7.2

It was a wide receiver and quarterback heavy draft though. Bijan didn't go until 2.1, McCaffery didn't go until 2.2, Breece Hall 2.11, and Jonathan Taylor 2.12.

Hoping my league mates don't have the rookies valued that highly, my ideal start would be Allen/Mahomes plus MarvJr but not sure he lasts until pick 2.11
