This Bronco team has a chance to be my favorite Bronco team of all time.

So what does Latimer have to do to get noticed?

love this team, but still have that special place in da heart for the Elway led teams, especially the 2 that John, TD, et al, finally brought home the trophies with.

Cody has actually made more plays in the past 3 weeks then he did the rest of the season combined. Nice to see him catch a couple tough passes in traffic, get licked and hold onto to the rock. He's been nice on ST too.

Seems like some trust is being built up with him. He has gone from inactive to actually being that 3rd WR in on some plays and of course like you said his impact on Special Teams has been special.

Was just reading some articles by Panther's writers and they were trying to claim they have a better defense than us this year. They said that them leading the league in turnovers should show that. Hmmmm. To me when a defense lives or dies by turnovers they eventually find themselves in trouble in the playoffs because some team won't turn it over.

I think that Carolina does have a very good defense. If Davis and or Allen is unable to play, that will be a break for us.

Really liked how we stuck with running game against NE, even after it yielded little for us in the first half. Would love to see Anderson and or Hillman have a big day.

Not saying they don't have a great defense just seems pretty bold to say they are better than ours.

Definitely going to be interesting to see how that Davis injury pans out. If he is out man that is huge. Or even if he is hampered by the arm where he can't wrap up or shed blockers that is huge for us.

Agreed. That's just homer nonsense. I don't think I've seen any defense play a better game this season than ours did on Sunday. If we can replicate that effectiveness, then I think there is a pretty good chance we win.

I honestly would get out our Green Bay tape and copy a lot of what we did in that game. I would play a lot more base defense to help stop the run and Von and Ware will have to do a great job of keeping outside contain but pass rush wise do what we did to Rodgers of keep him contained and push the pocket right in his face and trust our coverage to hold up on the back end.

Yeah, playing like we did against GB, on both sides of the ball, would likely get the win. I expect our d-line will collapse the pocket a few times. That's what Wolfe, Jackson, Walker, et. al. do.

Exactly. I see a lot of 'mush rush' up front, contain him and make him beat you from the pocket while collapsing the A gaps as best you can. It has been forever since i have seen the 3 man rush work so well. If Wade can get some good disguised 3 man rushes anything like the NE game we will be in good shape to keep his running ability from hurting us

Broncos are talented. Broncos are mature. Broncos are focused. Broncos are unsatisfied. Broncos are committed. Broncos are primed. Broncos have heart and courage.

This team is ready. It will be a close game but I can't doubt the resolve of this team.

The way he has played and hit on ST's, he might want to switch to Safety. :)

So, CD and DC: Any news on the health of the Broncos heading into SB 50? I'm especially curious about our safeties.

I think just the opposite. He ( Cam ) still relies heavy on his 1st and 2nd reads from pocket. You put pressure on him just like you did vs Brady, force him to try and hit his go to reads before he's ready and Denver will get him to force ball in there. He's been very good downfield when he's had time in pocket and receivers are able to clear. We have the guys to do that. You also designate a lb to shadow him. I think Denver's D can frustrate him and get some big turnovers. It's our O vs their D that will decide this. Denver and Manning need to continue their turnover free approach on offense just like they have in last two games and let the D work their magic.

Im with you on needing to pressure Cam but you aren't worried about him escaping the pocket and running? Honestly haven't seen a whole lot of the panthers this year but it seems like he is also getting a lot of designed QB runs and regardless will be a handful. Great way to limit it is with a spy like you mentioned, I'm a lll for that.
Also with you on our O vs their D. should be fun to watch

Defense will need to be disciplined. One of the reasons Carolina's offense works so well is it takes advantage of defenders' willingness to overpursue. Being disciplined, and not acting too aggressively will go a long way towards neutralizing their run game. Newton can also be contained if the pass rush is played correctly. We played them in 2012, and sacked him 7 times. You contain him, and he won't be as comfortable. Then we can go in for the kill.
