Strangely enough I remember this exact play. It was originally called a fumble when the qb was sacked and ran in for the td. Upon review it was ruled an incomplete pass, but the Excessive celebration penalty stood so it was a first down anyway. The announcer said something like only the chiefs could get an excessive celebration penalty when they didn't score a touchdown.

Yeah, it's very fake. Apart from the very obvious effects, there's no recoil whatsoever, as you said, the slide doesn't cycle, and the hammer at the back of the slide would travel if it were a real shot.
