I wonder if Sudfeld is injury and that is why the release. Then sign him if he clears waivers. I was hoping when Gronk came back that it would open things up for Sudfeld.

Yeah I was wondering what would happen to him when Gronk got back. I was thinking he'd help Sudfeld learn the position even better.

Sudfeld has a very good chance of clearing waivers, and if he does, they'll stick him on the practice squad. That will give him time to develop, and if he's looking better late in the year or next year, he'll make the team again.

Yeah, doesn't shock me. I liked giving him a shot but we have too many injuries for him to keep a roster spot if he's clearly not ready.
