wraps up tonight in Prince George, BC. Last night the Russian team twice rallied from a couple of 3 goal deficits (including a 6-3 deficit in the 3rd period) to defeat the WHL team 7-6 in a shootout.

Tonight's game is on Sportsnet, Calgary Flames prospect Ryan Howse of the Chilliwack Bruins will be playing.

Russia's actually won 3 of the 5 games so far on this thing. I guess they didn't send over the scrub team that they normally do. I might try to catch some of tonight's feed if it's available to US viewers.

I think there's a pretty good chance a stream will be made available...Howse is having another pretty good season with the Bruins (17 goals and 30 points in 20 games). Maybe there is some light at the end of the tunnel for the Flames.

Yup I was at game 1 and they looked like a very good team. They've been saying all along this year they'd be better in games past. It was hard to believe some of those guys were under 20. That Kitsyn guy who I believe is a Kings draft pick looked really good.

Looks like Russia is gonna take this one. 5-2 with 3 minutes left. The WHL gave it a good run after it was 4-0, but I've been impressed with the Russian team. They look good.

Goalie stood on his head in the second period. Shots on goal were 19-5 WHL, but the Russkies got the only goal.

That said, the Russians brought a fast skating team with some edge (not shying away from the physical game).
