take a look around. PC culture, entitlement, and lack of accountability is running rampant in this country.

Cravens would rather be happy then do something he hates... but also make millions. Cant really have your cake and eat it too.

also, in operant conditioning there is an incredible lack of balance between reinforcement and punishment in parenting. As a result the last 20 years has been riddled with school shootings

kids are going nuts. millennials are going nuts because they are ill prepared for the real world, college, high school, etc. they havent faced any failure and adversity after being coddled through the systems.
Kids are taught
-if you get a bad grade blame the teachers
-if you suck at a sport blame the coaches
-if you live in the city and dont take school seriously and gang bang blame institutional racism
-if you shoot up a school - blame the guns
-if you commit a crime and get caught find the judicial loophole. blame the cops and the system

as a result you get a generation of whiny bitches who know it all.... ironically i havent stopped whinining about alex smith

He doesnt owe me anything. Retire if you hate football and shut the fuck up.

Got it. So you have a bunch of empty generic claims with nothing to support them.

I actually dont blame the millennials because by and large they havent been taught any better. And the rule of thumb is, if it works for you, why bother changing to make some one else happy. I do agree that PC culture, lack of accountability and the spare the rod mentality has slowly turned this country into what it is today. Participation "trophies" and yes a sense of entitlement. The concept that if im not HAPPY at my job, I can simply go find one I am happy at.

Also kinda find it sad that you now have Doctors trying to pump kids as young as 4-5 years old with mood stabilizing drugs because if your 5 year old is loud and annoying, well he must have ADHD. Maybe IM old, but if I was loud and annoying and my parent said sit down and shut up... that was the warning.

By the way.. Bruce Allen is a millennial born 25 years to soon.

What are you talking about? University use to be a place where free thought was not only welcomed but encouraged. That is not the case anymore.

Its a generation and a society of outrage.

As somebody at a university right now.... I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Again. Without data this these are just empty claims.

and i am not going to give a pass to his spoiled entitled lack of work ethic ass

he certainly didnt take the lessons his parents gave him and applied them assuming they werent the issue

and before you young whipper snappers get your panties in an uproar , one of 2 things happened to the snowflake generation
a) the parents gave the kids lessons on life and didnt take or b) they were too damn self absorbed to give them

Look Im not sure I agree on Sua or not, I havent read all that much and dont know all that much. If he had problems I hope he put himself first and got help rather than fulfill a contract out of some misplaced sense of honor or something.

Again...Ill say the same thing I said before. When you provide some facts and data, maybe Ill start to take you seriously about one generation being better or worse. None of you have done that yet.

Logically speaking its a nonsensical claim as well. Why would one generation be worse than another...

unless...

They grew up under shittier circumstances thanks to those who came before them. Now again, Im not claiming thats the case. But if - IF - millennial's are having problems maybe its time the people like you who keep complaining about them grow up, do some self reflection and realize maybe you played a role in that.

I know, I know.

One generation is worse than another for multiple reasons.

1- the first is upbringing, which I agree is on the parents. Parents would rather be friends than parents.

2- what we value which is on the individual.

3- government involvement, the PC culture, and a push to make everybody equal.

Maybe.

Again I don't know how we're determining one generation is worse than another. They'e grown up in different times under different circumstances. Is there data evenly comparing eras and showing a difference? And if so what does the data suggest is the cause of that difference.

MAYBE those things are there but the people who complain about the current generation are typically just whiny old folks who are pissed the world is changing.

It is the eye ball test. Look at how people relate to each other. Look at how people take or don’t take responsibility for their choices. How would millennial do if the older generations were no longer on Earth? I think they would cry themselves to death waiting for their neighbor to save them.

Exactly. It's the eyeball test. Aka it's complete BS that is whatever the person looking wants it to be.

How people relate to each other? I'm not sure if it's better or worse. Some things are better some are worse. But its not a millennial specific problem. Our 71 year old president treats people the same way a 4 year old would.

We'd do a lot better than if the inverse happened lol.

It is perception; however, I think we can all agree it is better to be polite than rude, responsible over irresponsible, and hardworking over lazy.

Personal relationships are far different than public personality.

Of course. But I'm not sure what that has to do with this.

Neither is irrelevant. Some people are just shitty people.

Hey - you appear to be close enough location wise. Maybe you can tell us why Philadelphia is 1000x better than the DC area.

As generations go, I can't determine one as being that much different than another, especially when the country is not in distress. However, I would have to give a tip of the cap to generations who endured during these distressful times. Civil war, the great depression and WWII, were such times. That said, it's not so much generational for me, but citizens who all fought in order to make the country see things far differently than what was the accepted mainstream and tributary norms of the time. We've all benefitted from their efforts to change, and, it will be our shame to see no way to carry on the fight towards "A more perfect Union."
