Strength of Schedule Bullcrap!

Saw a recent article showing the Dolphins with one of the easiest schedules.
Same article showed the Patriots with one of the hardest!
That is not possible! We play all the same teams except for 3 games and those 3 will be against last place teams!

NE will play 3 extra last place teams.
That is even more significant!

As of today, on paper Mia will be favored against most of the mutual opponents.

Until the league gets underway, and unless NE starts winning, NE won't be favored in many games.

NE plays ARZ and SF away and the LAR and SEA at home, while the Dolphins have the exact opposite. Advantage Dolphins.
NE play the JAX and TEN away and the Dolphins get both at home. Advantage Dolphins.
NE plays HOU,IND and LAC as well as the AFCE at home and the Dolphins play LV along with the AFCE. Advantage Dolphins.

The only disadvantage for the Dolphins is GB, CLE and HOU away.

As was previously stated, no one knows how good any team will be until the games start to count.

Advantage or disadvantage is all in the eyes of the beholder.

Because it's one of the final tiebreakers for playoff positioning. You get more credit for beating the Patriots than beating the Panthers.

Exactly. Strength of schedule only matters for playoff seeding at the END of a season, not before it.

Sometimes you just need to read your post before hitting post. SOS matters, projected or estimated or abundantly flawed guesstimates don't.
