There are openings in one of the Strat-O-Matic leagues I'm in if anyone is interested in combining your fantasy baseball GM skills with your computer simulation Earl Weaver mastery. (Earl Weaver Baseball was the first ever computer baseball game I owned back in the late 80s! LOL)
On the typical dynasty fantasy baseball side, you have player contracts, restricted and unrestricted free agency, and each team has the rights to all prospects to the MLB farm system they are associated with. New owners can either keep the farm system of the team they take over or pick another system that is available.
On the computer simulation side you have to play half of your games on your PC against a computer manager that your opponent sets up and the other half of your games will be played by your opponents against your computer manager that you set up with your managerial tendencies. Game play is not dexterous so 8 year olds won't destroy you. All you do for game play is make regular managerial decisions like hit and run, bunt, steal bases, pinch hit, take out pitchers, etc.
In the playoffs, we use Netplay so you manage against your opponent in real time for the games.
