Wow, thanks! Great find.

I'd love to see how each team does for a period of time. I am trying to do this with the Giants, year by year, and will work on 2009 shortly.

Would still love to see some of the stats, though I am sure using Elias costs $$$$$.

After some additional research the statistic is also very 'difficult' to actually judge ... from what I can see .... The AVERAGE in MLB is 65% for the team that scores first. A GOOD team seems to be in the 75-78% range .... but this statistic only MATTERS if you score first. If you are a terrible team and only score 1st in 54 games (1/3 of the schedule) you have a 65% chance of winning them. That's a wopping 36 games, But it also means you only have a 35% for the other 108 games. That equates to 38 more games. This team would then be expected to win 74 games in total.

Actually at the end you ran into the same thing we mistook before...

Just because you win 65% of games you score first doesnt mean you only win 35% when you dont. You can win 50% of the games where you score second, maybe you are good at comebacks. the 2 figures are independent and dont add up to 100%

My gut tells me a more meaningful stat might be who has the best winning percentage when the OTHER team scores first.
