Steve Pederson just fired the coach that was his first choice for Nebraska at the end of 2003. Oh Pittsburgh fans, good luck during the "one man committee" coaching search. Smiling Stevie P has a great track record heading that committee.

Please take Watson...I think I'll call Steve P. Here is his phone number that was listed on Pitt's site so you can also recommend Watson: (412) 648-8230

Something tells me that if I call that number it won't have anything to do with Watson so I am just going to refrain.

Great!

More ammo for the country to see how some of our (Best Football Fans in the Country) goes a little over the top!

Going over the top by reminding Steve that Watson is available? All I said was... Steve, your coaching search should include Shawn Watson, those 8 words. I did not tell him I was an NU fan.

By the way, over the top is when a coach violently pokes a finger in a player's chest on national TV, and then screams at referees every single time they throw a flag. That trumps just about any fan behavior that I've seen in the last 4 decades or so.

Also, I'm 100% convinced that Pelini's referee abuse throughout the season is the reason why they ganged up on him in the A&M game. They just got sick and tired of his tirades.

Another thing, Nebraska fans supporting a coach who behaves that way is more than enough "ammo" for our country, as you say to lose respect for our program.

My support for him is on thin ice just like thousands of other NU fans. I still hope he doesn't lose it again in the future, but I won't hold my breath in the mean time. :L

Really... Really;

How many civil minded people (besides yourself of course), do you know... would make such a call.

POINT ?

I guess you never played sports in college or for that matter highschool?

Here; this is for you to watch.

Possibly! I would not argue against that... I guess I could, but won't...

Well by all means, let's fire every coach that does not please everyone! God knows we would all be happier with a 7-6 record and a polished used car salesman for a head coach... Oh wait, we had one of those didn't we?

I 'll bet this causes him to lose sleep!

Just a guess.... but..... I would bet that you were one of those fans who wanted TO's head in the 80s?

Just a guess...

Later..... gone!!!!

No, I didn't want Osborne to leave. He was a bit stubborn at times with his play calling, but he was an outstanding coach and gentleman also.

Actually, his refusal to bench an ineffective player bothers me more than anything else because WE HAD THOSE GUYS BY THE BALLS, AND WITH A PLAYER WHO PROTECTS THE BALL BETTER {LEE} WE WOULD HAVE WON THAT GAME, AND MAYBE WON THAT GAME EASILY!

You're getting really ridiculous now by implying that I want a coach who pleases everyone. Coaching is more than just making good game time decisions, it's also being able to keep anger under control and acting professionally.

name an example of this please

Go back and watch other games with your rose colored glasses off and you'll notice Pelini screaming at refs on numerous occasions. Pelini did say he'll behave from now. Let's hope so.

Don't get me wrong, the refs were unprofessional by retaliating against Pelini, but I can see how they just had had enough of his crap.
