He is old, slow and fat. No thanks.

Don't be surprised if he ends up a 49er. He could end up being a cheap veteran option to add some depth to our receivers. He probably won't start for us but could be a guy used in running formations and 3 or 4 receiver sets.

Hines has told the Steelers that he is willing to alter his deal and wants to remain with the team. He wants to retire as a Steeler.

It seems he would just as likely restructure his deal than take a pay cut to be here and be a backup. To start here or for more money, maybe. But to take a pay cut (assuming it would be no more than a restructured deal) for the same position (backup) unless he thinks the Steelers are going down hill, there'd be little reason. They are changing OCs so the continuity presence is there but not as strong as it could be.

I wouldn't waste any time on Ward. Morgan is better at this point IMO.
