Yea its a wait & see type of deal. Nobody was all too excited when we picked up Suisham back in 2010. We originally signed him as a UDFA back in '05 after the superbowl, but cut him before the next season. He then went to the Cowboys, to the 9ers, to the Skins, and back to the Cowboys before coming to the Steelers. He was cut/released more times than Boswell before making it here but he turned out to be one of the best we've ever had. Sometimes a change of scenery is all a kicker needs to either boost or deflate his career.Although I've been as vocal as anybody about kicking Scobee to the curb (and not missing), I don't have a huge vote of confidence in Boswell. He'd previously been released by both the Texans and the Giants without ever kicking a single field goal at the NFL level.
Next up on the Steelers' radar: Ray Finkle.
Report: Josh Scobee suffered quad strain before his release from Steelers
First thought after reading this was "who gives a shit".
Or during a little gameday morning "stretch" with his wife...
