In the EU (Expanded Universe), the twin son, Jacen, did.... I won't go any further than that. It's still in question how much the movie will stick to the EU and how much will be completely original. The prospects of going completely rogue from the EU have many hard core SW jimmies rustled.

Well, the first Star Wars book was not very good (Especially, if one was used to reading Heinlein, Asimov, Clarke...). Hopefully, with the success of the movies, the EU books are well written.

Was thinking... Jaina and Jacen should be about 25 in Ep.7. Ben should be about 10 and Anakin should be... 12 or something. Do you think all are going to be included and do they adjust their ages? I think the ages will be adjusted.
Justin Bieber is playing Ben Skywalker? :L

What was the first one?

The Timothy Zahn books are great. I've heard the New Jedi Order series and many others are also very good. :noidea:

:eek::heh: That's a picture from a graphic novel.
IF Ben Skywalker is a central character in Ep. VII my guess is that they will have advanced his age and it will be played by Dohmnall Gleeson. Or he will only be a peripheral character and only around the age of 7 or 8.

In the '70s, with the advent of the first movie, a paperback of the storyline was released. I've heard that there were three, one for each episode IV - VI. I only read the first one and found it lacking.

Oh gotcha. Yeah, I've never bothered with any based solely on the movie story lines.

I have never read any of the books so outside of the movies, it's all new to me.

Well, for me, it was a free (discarded) SciFi paperback, and I was a poor SciFi fan college student in the '70s. When you're working full time and taking classes, reading disappointing fiction is a bummer of a waste of time. It took Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back movie to instill any interest in me. I saw that 3 times on it's opening day - 1st showing with friends, afternoon showing with a date who worked nights, night showing with another date ;-) Of course, by then, I'd graduated and had a job, two, actually.

Hopefully it will be great regardless of being familiar with the EU story lines or not.

My fingers are crossed. Like many, I didn't care for the prequels but mainly for dropping the ball of the biggest opportunity in movie history and really taking advantage of telling the story/showing how big of a bad ass Darth Vader is now. It could have been so great. I dont hate the prequels though.

I liked the prequels. But I agree, they could have filled in the 19 year gap some between Ep.s III & IV. It would have been mostly the Empire squashing people, the few remaining Jedi hiding out, and the Rebels organizing.

Has anybody heard, or seen, any information regarding when the first full trailer for VII is coming out? With Avengers? Hopefully?
