Johnny Stanton throwing now, couple nice completions, couple bad INT's.

Doubt he retains the #1 spot w/ "couple bad INT's"

Not surprising. You're at a serious disadvantage when you're wearing your arm out all day and have to show up late and throw by yourself.

Top vertical jump from @Elite11 testing - Johnny Stanton at 34.9". #Huskers #Elite11

JJM thinks he can accomplish a 40 inch vertical if he just puts in the effort

If he keeps it up, he'll decommit when Washington offers him a solid QB spot...

The throwing motion kind of reminds me of Frost.

Frost made up for it with toughness, discipline, and leadership.

So you're stating that Johnny Stanton is thee ultimate athlete........as if he has maxed himself out completely en sech......

Johnny Stanton could easily go over 40 inches..........but he probably isn't worried about it.

Third set of Elite 11 Coaches' rankings released this morning:

1. Greenlee
2. Browne
3. Goff
4. Hackenberg
5. Woulard
6. Stanton
7. Del Rio
8. Dobbs
9. Williams
10. Cockerville
11. Zaire

Looks like he threw too much before showing up yesterday. Don't know why Zaire sits so low either....

Big drop there, but I put little importance in the results of this camp regarding pure QB.

If he can give NU the intangibles that guys like Tagge/Gill/Frazier/Frost/Crouch had, I could give two shitz whether he's a 70+% passer.

Yep that'll happen when you show up late after spending all day at a tournament.

I'd like to know where he'd be at had he been at the camp all day with his competitors.

Point is, he's excelled and gone above and beyond any of our expectations.

He led the thing for two straight days.

@DanGreenspan #Huskers commit Johnny Stanton with an effortless march in 2Min drill, capped by TD pass to Mater Dei TE Thomas Duarte.

I'm glad you guys can have some fun on my behalf, though at least I did get the satisfaction of seeing Brasky inadvertently call his quarterback an idiot.

It's called sarcasm, dullard. You realize you did in fact say that...

Johnny Stanton's schedule hurt him in bid for #Elite11 MVP. Missed parts of 2 days for passing tourney. Admirable dedication to HS team.

Sounds like he tore it up today, but who knows if it will be enough to nab the MVP spot. Make no mistake there are future college stars, NFL quarterbacks, and even a 1st rounder or two who he is neck and neck with in this thing.

The thing that probably gets lost is that this is just one part of their development. They aren't in pads, and they don't have a linebacker coming through the A gap or 6-4 280 lbs guy coming off the edge after their ass.

Still, they're all on a level playing field and it's about quick thinking, knowing your playbook, being accurate and just an overall feel for the game.

Final rankings coming out tonight.

They're saying this is the most talented pool of quarterbacks they've ever had at the camp.

I doubt USC offers him. They've got their guy, but Stanford and UCLA will likely come calling. I hope that doesn't change things for the kid, but it's understandable if it does.

Remember guise... We're fucking cursed when it comes to highly sought after QB's... Gabbert, Freeman.. You know the story.
