Not really a big fan of Bennett going in for Rust, just doesn't bring the speed element that we need. NHL really should suspend Marleau for multiple games, that headshot could change the dynamics of the series. It would be like Kunitz giving a headshot to Pavelski. It's taking out a player that personifies the team's whole identity.
If the league wants to so the world that they're serious about preventing head injuries, there's no better time or place to do it than during the Stanley Cup Finals.Definitely agree about Bennett. He got a game in the ECF and was mostly invisible. I think Sullivan should put Sprong in for Rust if he can't make it back for game 2. Sprong has already played in two different post-seasons the past month and a half, and was arguably the best forward on the team, each time.
As for Marleau... they won't suspend him. If he gets anything, I could see it being a fine, like they gave Tom Wilson from Washington.
Game 2 is going to be tough, we never take a 2-0 series lead. Also, Sharks gonna come at us fierce from the get go.Great win!
Even with the weak period of slow and sloppy play, the Pens look to be the better team all around...I have faith!
Murray needs to work on his setup for plays behind the net...1 week goal and 1 meh goal...
Hope Rust is good.
1 down, 3 to go...can't wait till Wednesday
Go Pens!
Thanks Bolt, but really comes down to luck in the end, and luck has been on our side in these playoffs.Pens looked like they did against Bolts ... the Better team !
And the win, of course!!!Great win!!!
One of these games the Pens will dominate for all 60 minutes but when it's the finals and you're facing the Western Conference champs I'll take being better 2 out of 3 periods!
Yup, and you know they won't say for sure until game time, so we'll all be on edge until thenHope Rust is OK and can go for Game 2!!!!!!!!!!
I know. But it is what it is this time of year and for good reason too!Yup, and you know they won't say for sure until game time, so we'll all be on edge until then
No other sport tests the will of its fans more than ice hockey during the Stanley Cup Playoffs IMO.I know. But it is what it is this time of year and for good reason too!
