LETS GO LA!

Come on Richie and Carter - show 'em how quickly you can win once the stench of orange and black is off you.

seeing as I have missed the entire playoff season this year, only catching some scores every now and then, it's hard for me to say which team we'll win....having said that, LA did seem to roll through some pretty tough opponents along the way so I'll say

LA in 6

amazing... Marty will play his 200 playoff game tomorrow.
since his first playoff game, only 99 goalies have played more than 200 regular season games.

In all honesty, I think the week off hurts the Kings more than it helps them. They haven't played enough games to need a ton of rest and when you're as hot as they are you want to continue playing the hot hand so I'm curious to see how they respond to it.

Sure Quick has been great, but that Brodeur guy has played halfway decent as well and has been here before.

Not to mention the Devils 4th line basically won them the first series and this series. I'll take the Devils depth over the Kings in a heartbeat.

Should be an interesting series.

Everyone thought that before playing St. Louis and Phoenix and yet the extra rest was no issue. Not saying it won't be now, just pointing out that it hasn't been at all in these PO.

I will give you the Broduer comment given he has already won 3 cups. He is going to be the best goalie the Kings have faced thus far given no other goalie we faced won a cup.

I don't know how you can dismiss the Kings depth and the 4th lines ability to cycle and score timely goals. They aren't gimme goals either or shooting into empty nets. I think it will be a closer, tighter series than you think.

Marty is an exceptional athlete no doubt. Interesting stat, Quick was 9 when Marty won his first cup in '95.

I don't know if the Devils defense has faced a forward group as big and fast as the Kings to date in these playoffs. If the Kings continue with their aggressive fore-checking and hitting game, it will be interesting to see how the Devils cope. Even when the Kings take penalties, their penalty-killing has been fantastic. One thing is for certain though, you never should count out a Louie Lams team.

The Devils PP is so streaky. There are times where the opposing team's blueline turns into a brick wall and we can't get anything going, then their are times like the 2nd goal of game 6 against the Rags where they look unstoppable. Curious to see which one shows up more frequently against a team that takes a lot of penalties. Richards the SH specialist going against us and our league leading SH goals allowed scares me.

The Devils play such a team defense that it's tough to say how other teams top lines matchup against the D. I will say our D tends to struggle when teams get the puck behind our net and crash the net.

Not a lot of love for Doc in the comments section at KK...

KuklasKorner : KK Hockey : Emrick’s Never Been Better

I just don't get it. Out of all the awful homer announcers out there, I still believe he is one of the least unbiased broadcasters out there, and I enjoy when he yells when a goal is scored. Better than those homers who go crazy when the home team scores but barely makes a peep when the away team scores.

I think they just associate Doc with the other 2 morons on the broadcast with him. I find it's mostly younger generation fans (I said mostly, not all) who don't seem to appreciate him. They're used to their homer announcers and no one compares to them in their eyes.

Having said that I still prefer Dave Strader over Doc, but that's just the homer in me.

Doc has been losing it a bit in recent years, although he is getting up there in age. I notice he'll say the wrong player more frequently now, and he'll talk himself into a dead end more often than he used to. With that said he's still among the best at what he does and I have nothing but love for the guy.

Depends on how you view that angle.

The flyers were world beaters in the first round. Devils aggressive forechecking really numbed the Flyers down to an unlikely lopsided series winner.

Devils been forechecking all playoffs, really no difference here.

This final should be a blast.... perhaps 2003-ish type results?

I luv how the Kings are playing and simply dominating but I love my Devils much more
