I think most Devils fans, myself included, would like to see Sykora back in the lineup. He's had plenty of rest so he should be good to go, and the bottom line is the guy knows how to put the puck in the net. With the amount of missed opportunites the Devils have had in the first 2 games, you have to wonder if Sykora would have been able to put one of those home.

Apparently so...not sure how i feel about this, he could be a liability given he may not be in game shape. He just started practicing and at this stage the game is a much different speed and tempo.

That's how I feel about Tallinder for the Devils. He was arguably our best defenseman last year and we could absolutely use his help, however he hasn't played in months and skating in practice is nowhere near the same as being in a game. Gagne should be ok if his minutes are limited.

He appeared in 34 games (Not enough to get his name on the cup), however the Kings could make and exception and put his name on the cup IF they win.

I just don't like the move because it's the biggest/hardest two games the Kings will have to try and win and they are now changing the lineup. Yikes!

I'm all for changes to help us win. Deboer has done this throughout the postseason, however I'm not going overrated Sykora. He has 2 goals... he hasn't been lighting up the net.

Definitely one of our better shooters but i wont expect a true series turnaround if Sykora gets back in there...

I agree, but I chalk that up to him showing his age. He was gassed earlier in the playoffs. Now he's been off for 2 weeks he should have his legs back. I'm not saying he's going to be lights out, but at the very least he'll put the puck on net.

Would Sykora last vs the Kings physically though? JJ brings strength/depth at C where Sykora would move a winger to C(if JJ is removed)
