For the most part if you get in the playoffs you have a chance, unlike some other leagues since every series is 7 games. Granted an 8th only ever won once (LA Kings).I don't follow hockey at all but it's still fun watching playoff games...I am rooting for Edmonton because it's been too long since Canada had the Cup and also they are the underdogs, and Florida just won.
My total novice impression is hockey playoffs are really random, the best regular season teams win only slightly more than lesser ones, is that true?
Some fan bases say it all depends on whether or not the refs are biased against their team. Especially if a team is from California. For the most part if you get in the playoffs you have a chance, unlike some other leagues since every series is 7 games. Granted an 8th only ever won once (LA Kings).
A hot goalie does a lot of good for a team and that trend usually gets them to the finals with a chance to win.
What worries me is Skinner.Oilers in 6. This team is too good to lose two straight opportunities for the Cup, even against a team as good as Flawda. They're won't be denied
