Soldier Field is the venue for tonight's game - Penguins at Blackhawks - 8pm on NBC - and of course it's going to be cold there - and this is also a money grab

but its worth the money grab for THIS GAME. the best players in the world on on both teams, they have Olympic Champions on both sides. so much talent, so much skill. just hope the ice is good

this should have been one of the 2 games this season and get rid of

kings/ducks

I agree, two a year is more than enough. But for the Pens/Hawks, they should have had it at a neutral site, like say Dodger Stadium or the Rose Bowl. Are you telling me the fans of both teams wouldn't travel to LA for a weekend to get away from this shitty winter they've been having? Easy cash grab, just like how the Rose Bowl works every year. And the game would be on ok ice, not downright shitty ice.

if they do that then why not test to see if a market they want to expand to will host one and have the city absorb some cost.

yeah I dont know anything about that City so Ill take your word for it, but they should treat it like the all star game or MAKE it the all star game dont make it team vs team make it fancy and fun. no one gets hurt

I agree this is the NHL getting greedy with all the outdoor games. Its going to water down the Winter Classic and the Heritage Classic. The customary cheering during the national anthem. Anyone have t thoughts on that? I think its weird. To each its own I guess.
