I am not even a Cards fan, and this was my thought as well. You guys just seem to get hit by these things.Its kinda sad that you have to put St Louis Cardinals on the front of that. Most people should know who Lance Lynn is but certainly understandable if they dont. Very solid starter until the all star break and then he always just sort of wears out.
I feel like this is the 7th or 8th Cardinals pitcher* to go down for Tommy John's in the past decade. Have to hope that Wainwright is 100% and the Cardinals pick up another starter somewhere whether its Lackey or not.
*- it probably just seems that way. The real number is likely lower than that

They'll find their way to the playoffs again despite this rough news.
