I know Army lost, but they're more than deserving of a ranking. I put them at #25.

Both played FCS and dropped. They'll be back!

Georgia has a road win against a P5 team.

What exactly makes New Mexico State a better opponent than an FCS team? Simple label? I sense some bias with Alabama still being there if you're going by competition.

FBS Teams can offer more scholarships than FCS teams. So, there is a real potential competitive difference. However, I do agree that NMSU doesn't bring anything to the table beyond being an FBS team, and Alabama is ranked #12 - which is probably lower than anybody else will have them on here. Plus, Alabama did beat an ACC team (Duke) in Atlanta. No Alabama / Georgia bias on my part, but I do admit to FBS / FCS bias. Georgia has played an FCS team, and Alabama has not. If the reverse were true, I would have Georgia ranked and Alabama not.

Issues brought to my attention last week that self-corrected this week:

Auburn was not ranked; they are ranked #2 this week.

Illinois was ranked too high for some; the Illini are still ranked but dropped this week even after a road win.

Tulane and Rutgers were ranked; they both lost and dropped out like a stone.

NC State was ranked in the Top 10 - UNC was not ranked: NC State played an FCS team and dropped out - UNC beat an ACC team and debuted.

None of these actions were because of the feedback, but as I mentioned last week - it is early and a very fluid situation!

Thanks for the question!

Indeed! That's the point of an exercise like this. Different people see things from a different perspective, and they are averaged out. If we already had all of the answers, there would be no point in an OPINION poll. :suds:

There are some head scratching polls this week. I know most of the people who posted them don't really believe that crap. Too many to call out anybody specifically.

After FSU's big comeback win, and their ability to make teams miss extra points, they deserve to be in the polls.

They also got some really cool plays like this:

I honestly thought mine was pretty spot on and honest. :noidea:

I don’t have a problem with your poll as a whole. But, i will say that having Washington in the top 20 and Cal unranked is an absolute head scratcher, and there’s a lot of people that did it. Two games of data and people are already ignoring the two games of data that we have. If we didn’t have preseason polls there’s no way we’d have that.

Thats not a shot at you, but just something Im throwing out because I was curious about all the Washington rankings and then saw your post.
