Michigan State beats Wisconsin by inches on the field, Wisconsin ends up one vote ahead of Michigan State.

by the way, everyone pretty much sucks after 22nd placed Texas Tech.

OregonDucks is going to be pissed when he sees Oregon is behind Arkansas by one vote LOL!

Wisconsin and Michigan State both have one loss. MSU got clobbered against Notre Dame. We lost by less than two inches on a deflection Hail Mary on the road. If you've watched both teams for more than a game, it is pretty obvious which team has played better, and a super close game where the home team wins doesn't disprove that. Both are good teams, but I think we should be ranked higher now.

trust me, I know, besides this game I didn't think Michigan State was even top 25 worthy.

but on field results are what you have to go with, I'm writing off the Notre Dame loss as a fluke right now, or that Michigan State is playing better now than they did before.

because everyone hates them for losing to Boise State, it's a complete joke how out of the top 5 teams Boise State is the worst one to lose to because then everyone thinks you suck, every time we beat someone it's because they suck.

sorry for the rant sir, just had to get that out.

I certainly don't think Georgia sucks because Boise beat them; the reason Boise is a top 5 team is because they would most likely beat the teams ranked (or unranked) below them. Boise's problem is that folks perceive their competition to be weak, which for the most part is hard to argue against. However, they have played very well against the better teams in college football and are beginning to garner some well deserved credit.

and that's my point on Georgia

since we beat them they immediately pin them in with New Mexico and UNLV who are the only two really bad teams we play.

So you're choosing to consider an 18 point loss a fluke while determining that our road loss on a deflected Hail Mary in a game where we had a kick and a punt blocked and had our running back miss 2+ drives wasn't a fluke? :confused2:

Head to head still trumps overall body of work...

Why, Wisconsin lost head-to-head and their only legitimate win is over Nebraska. Michigan State has a loss to Notre Dame, but three good wins (Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Michigan).
