I don't know if I'm ranking TCU or not for now I'm not, the rest of the teams playing don't matter

TCU may have finally realized they should use Pachall all the time not when they're down two or more TD's in the 4th

this is not my poll, just part of what I used to compose my real one
1. Oklahoma- an impressive complete blowout of Texas, they dominated in every category.
2. Alabama- Good week for them, no one cares about Vandypants, but both Penn State and Arkansas won impressively and both those teams only losses are to Bama that's always a good sign.
3. LSU- dominated but it was against a Florida team that's pretty much a disaster at the moment.
4. Boise State- FINALLY!!!! A complete game.
5. Wisconsin- may have to wait on the Russell Wilson hype, Ohio State's freshman QB looked almost as good against Nebraska's defense.
6. Oklahoma State- put up some crazy points in the first half against Kansas.
7. Stanford- Dominated Colorado, of course, it's Colorado.
8. Arkansas- just a dominant victory over Auburn.
9. Kansas State- look at the wins they have, Baylor, Miami of Florida, and Missouri, Baylor is a really good one and the other two are decent.
10. Illinois- their win over Arizona State is looking good, lets see how they play this week against what has to be a devastated Ohio State team.
11. Oregon- Good blow out over Cal but haven't really been tested since they played LSU, that changes this week. The major issue is, LaMichael James is a HUGE loss for this team.
12. Clemson- terrible week for them, sure they won their own game, but their QB got hurt we don't know how serious that is, and all their big wins didn't look good, Auburn got dominated, FSU lost to Wake Forest and Virginia Tech struggled against a Miami of Florida team that lost to Maryland.
13. Georgia Tech- won but struggled late, they seem to struggle late in games which could be a problem as the season progresses.
14. Nebraska- had a ton of flaws exposed tonight, lucky for them Bauserman came in and couldn't complete a pass, except to the people standing out of bounds. Nebraska's offense played good late in the game though that and the win are the positives.
15. South Carolina- this was a great win for them, no I'm not talking about the game itself, I'm talking about the fact that they are finally done with Garcia.
16. Baylor- blew out Iowa State good recovery from last week
17. Georgia- they seem to be a team that dominates the ball, they don't look good on the boxscore but they win, better than some teams who play awful but look great on the box score.
18. Arizona State- they impressed me today, dominated late against Utah.
19. Washington- bye week for them
20. Texas- wow they got destroyed, they still have work to do
21. Texas A&M- they still blew the lead but they won this time.
22. Houston- won 56-3 over ECU, pretty good
23. Penn State- They have often looked umimpressive but they're 5-1 with the only loss being to Alabama by 16.
24. Virgina Tech- probably shouldn't be ranked but wow that was a great game, and a clutch late drive.
25. Michigan- They are a pretty lucky team, but not a good one, this is the team you shouldn't listen to the media on, first of all they say Denard Robinson did great tonight, he absolutely sucked, he threw 3 picks all were when he had an open reciever he overthrew and underthrew. Michigan really was the only reason Northwestern was ever in the game. The media's going to say it was a great performance but if you actually watched this game you would not have Michigan in your top 15.

Other teams that are close: SMU, TCU, ummmmmmmmm Tennessee maybe?

5. Wisconsin- may have to wait on the Russell Wilson hype, Ohio State's freshman QB looked almost as good against Nebraska's defense.

The difference is that while Miller is 20/39 this year and probably just had a "good" game this week before getting injured(5 for 8 is not a stellar sample size, though he had a good rushing game). Wilson is 83 for 111 this year and has been consistent game in and game out.

I don't have a problem with you ranking Boise over Wisconsin. I disagree, but I don't think it's absurd. That said, Wilson is for real and don't downplay him just because a quarterback threw for 95 yards against the same defense.

I know, but that was comparing it to the Heisman hype.

the whole top 5 are interchangable at them moment, on any week one of those 5 can be ranked in any of the 1-5 spots

Oklahoma State may join that group

Stanford needs to get a big win first.

If I must insert myself here real quick...............Nebraska was beginning to shut down Miller right before he got injured.

Nebraska, at no point began to shut down Russell Wilson. When he was at NC State I was already saying here on this forum that he is the most underrated QB in the country.............and now, he seriously may be the best QB in the country.

I'm going with a formulaic vote this week. It will seem odd here and there, but is based mostly on what a team has actually done. I start with the current top 30 teams in the coaches poll, considering them the nominees, and then look at how they've played against each other.
1. LSU 6-0, wins over #9, 16, 26
2. Bama 6-0, wins over #11, 25, 26
3. Clemson 6-0, wins over #17, 29
4. Wisconsin 5-0, win over #14
5. Illinois 6-0, win over #20
6. Oklahoma 5-0, win over #21
7. Arky 5-1, wins over #23, 29, loss to #3
8. Okie State 5-0, win over #23
9. Kansas State 5-0, win over #24
10. Ga. Tech 6-0, win over #28
11. Michigan 6-0, win over #30
12. Nebraska 5-1, win over #27, loss to #4
13. West Virginia 5-1, loss to #2
14. Penn State 5-1, loss to #3
15. Va Tech 5-1, loss to #8
16. UNC 5-1, loss to #12
17. Az. State 5-1, loss to #15
18. USC 5-1, loss to #29
19. Houston 6-0, no wins
20. Boise State 5-0, no wins
21. Stanford 5-0, no wins
22. Texas 4-1, loss to #1
23. Oregon 4-1, loss to #2
24. Baylor 4-1, loss to #18
25. Mich St. 4-1, loss to #30

So Miami is a decent win for KSU but a bad win for Virginia Tech and therefore hurts them and Clemson....ok.....:L

I like this, but the coaches cant vote for Southern Cal, so that could take a win over a top 30 team away from Arizona State, and other teams later on in the year. And i think you would have Southern Cal ranked 25th because they are 4-1 with a loss to #20.
