So SportsHoopla crowns a new #1. Interesting.

I don't even have UCLA in my top 25. Crazy.

I think LSU is too low. Georgia is too high.

Good poll though. Stacks up against the rest.

I agree LSU is too low and Georgia too high. And, I don't have OU in my top 25 and they're right up there with UCLA.

And I'm really surprised michigan and Florida are still ranked.

What is the reasoning?

They have a legit Heisman candidate @ QB and the best LBer in the country.

And whipped Nebraska in Lincoln.

Cuz Georgia has beaten someone worth a damn.

Michigan and Florida are ranked too high but otherwise looks pretty good.

If we are going by style points Michigan is waaaaaay to high.

But lets not forget the football team is still unbeaten. For what its worth.

Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Houston, UCF and Navy are undefeated and unranked.

They've beaten South Carolina who hasn't proven themselves either. I don't think either deserved to be ranked.

For everyone that voted Oregon #1 I'll take the underdog Bama +3 if this matchup comes to fruition. Loser has to leave SportsHoopla.

I respectfully disagree. You had Clemson ranked eighth this week, which is a bit low for me, but fair. Georgia went on the road and only lost by three points, despite turning the ball over one more time than Clemson, who has a top notch senior QB. They also outgained the Tigers 545-467, though that's beside the point since we lost.

Georgia then clearly outplayed a South Carolina team that has at the very least looked solid by beating North Carolina, who isn't great, in the opener and really beating up on a solid Vandy team( eye test wise) until late in the game with the outcome decided. The defense seemed to grow up in the second half of this one

And the North Texas score doesn't look very nice at all, but the defense continued their strong play from the second half of the SC game, as we outgained them 641-245.

But everyone has their own opinion, I think we are a top ten team as of this moment, especially since I consider Clemson to be an elite team. This weekend will tell a whole lot though..

N. Carolina is 1-2 and Vandy is 2-2. I wound't really call either one solid (I know you only called Vandy solid). Then there's the fact that South Carolina pretty much got man handled by Georgia. I don't see anything they've done really to prove themselves, especially to be ranked where they are. Out of the 1 loss teams, Georgia is definately near the top of those, but we have to play the game to find out if they should still be in the top 10.
