So again... how many quality opponents have they played THIS year?

Years past are irrelevant, especially since they went 5-7 last year.

apparently UCLA might count as one now, sir

soon to be Tulsa too

their schedule is weak

but people are talking about a rematch

I'd rather see LSU destroy Houston than see a rematch between two teams that have already played

because if LSU loses it would only be because Alabama got a 2nd chance

the championship team shouldn't need two chances to win.

at least if LSU destroys Houston we would know what we already know

that LSU is the best team

Yeah. I am definitely against Bama going. I'd love to see Stanford or Va. Tech jump them but the BCS is sucking their dick right now so much

both of them are getting screwed by one of the most rediculous things in the BCS where they actually add rankings of how good they THINK the conferences are

Virginia Tech right now is playing solid, they struggled a bit this week but they're pretty dadburn good and right now they're my #2 team

Stanford I don't support

Boise State has a higher SOS than they do

Virginia Tech has two games left against Top 25 opponents. Unfortunately if they win these games, the opponents will likely drop out of the Top 25. It is kind of weird how winning a game diminishes your own win in some cases. Stanford has ND let. Okie State has Oklahoma. Neither has a CCG.

that's how it was for us, if we made that field goal TCU wouldn't be ranked right now

of course we would still be 2nd instead of wherever we are going to be now

Wooooowww....did not know. Nobody of course is gonna think of moving up a 1 loss BSU either which sucks.
This years LSU/Bama NC would be the most boring of all time...even surpassing the 2007 OSU LSU game.

question for those that are ranking Arkansas 3rd

why???

they are not very good

what have they done???

their best win is either a comeback win over Texas A&M which is something that pretty much half the Big 12 has done

or a win over a South Carolina team that was pretty good but became depleted with injuries and is no longer as good.

their resume also includes

that win over Vandypants where a missed field goal and other Vandy miscues separated Vandypants from a win

that 5 point win over Ole Mrs

a 10 point win over 2-7 Troy

so tell me why are they 3rd if you have them there???

I have Arkansas 5th only because Stanfords schedule is so shitty. I do not think the razorbacks are very good and I think they will likely get beat by 20+ by LSU but as of now they are 10-1 and with Stanford not really having any great wins aside from a VERY questionable win in 3 OT's over USC I cant really rank anyone else ahead of Arkansas aside from LSU, Bama, Houston and OK State. VT is an interesting case but they havent really impressed me either although I havent watched as much of them as I should have.

As far as beating a team and they drop in ranking thus weakening a team's resume, I was playing around with a ranking system that didn't count a team's wins against it's opponents records. Or something. I didn't get very far, I don't like messing with numbers

that 3 OT win over USC looks pretty good now

and certainly better than anything Arkansas has

USC had one bad game this year against Arizona State, which was bound to happen with Kiffin

but other than that they have been very good

I actually have Boise 6th ( ahead of Stanford), Arkansas gets the benefit of the doubt by playing in the SEC but after they get curb stomped this week they will be suffering a precipitous drop in my rankings

Why not? In a year where a bunch of teams in the top 10 have lost to average to below average teams and where alot of the other top 10 teams have really no great wins I see no reason to not reward a team that hasnt lost. The only 2 teams I have ahead of Houston are LSu and Bama, Ok State has some nice wins but lost to a 6-4 team, VT doesnt really have a win that jumps out at you and they got blown out in their loss, Stanfords only decent win came in 3 OT's with an assist by some highly questionable calls and they got stomped out in their loss, Boise State has 1 good win but lost to a team that got beat by SMU ( a team Houston beat by 30), all 2 loss teams are irrelavant in this discussion and frankly very few of the 2 loss teams have beaten anyone worth a damn ( inclduing your Georgia team).
