1. Oklahoma- Impressive in a blowout of Tulsa, which is still a pretty good team despite not having their best player for the game.

2. Stanford-Andrew Luck played great but that's exactly what he should have done since they were playing San Jose State they get to move up from Oregon losing because of that.

3. Boise State- Played great against Georgia, a lot of the biggest questions for the team were answered with great performances.

4. LSU- They did a great job somehow putting up 40 points without a good QB, eventually it will come back to haunt them this season.

5. Wisconsin- Russell Wilson might just turn out to be more than a distraction for defenses it makes Wisconsin dangerous, the fact that none of their tough opponents really play the pistol offense is a plus because that seemed to give Wisconsin fits.

6. Alabama- I'm not sure if I should even have them this high, when you look at the score it appears they took care of business against Kent State, but when you look at the actual stats their QBs were awful, 1 TD to 4 picks and that was against Kent State, QB is a major concern for this team now.

7. Oklahoma State- Kind of took care of business but their defense gave up 34 points.

8. Texas A&M- Lucky SMU didn't play good at the start because they were moving the ball quite a bit early on, but when they gave up two touchdowns before the half A&M took the game over, beating SMU by that much is quite impressive.

9. Nebraska- Took care of business so they kind of move up by default.

10. Oregon- looked very messy against LSU, if opposing teams have figured out how to stop their offense then it could be a long year for Oregon.

11. Virginia Tech- No struggles with the FCS this year, they dominate Appalachian State.

12. Florida State- they were pretty lackluster on offense against UL-Monroe, might have just been running vanilla though.

13. South Carolina- Giving up 37 points to ECU is definitely a concern, they did a good job overcoming a 17-0 deficit though.

14. Baylor- They were just incredible, Robert Griffin III throws just a perfect deep ball, he hits the reciever in perfect stride to where the reciever doesn't have to slow down at all and have the ball fall right into his hands, Robert Griffin finally has enough around him to finally try to build a Big 12 run, they might not win the conference but upsetting one or two of the top 3 teams and Texas is certainly possible and likely will happen.

15. Mississippi State- they were impressive in a beating of Memphis, so why did they drop down a spot? It's what they get for playing Memphis while Baylor beat TCU.

16. Air Force- handled business against South Dakota, they were up 30-7 at the half before going completely vanilla, I'm sure the media will overlook that.

17. Arkansas- they played Missouri State so we still don't know what to expect of them after losing Knile Davis.

18. Georgia- Can't drop them too far for losing to Boise State, why punish them for playing a great team instead of a UAB or Charleston Southern????

19. San Diego State- took care of business against Cal Poly.

20. TCU- They were victims of Robert Griffin being just amazing, still their defense should defend the deep ball better, though I'm not exactly sure how because Griffin threw such great passes, Casey Pachall proved he's ready to take over because once TCU let him loose he rallied them back with 24 points in a short period of time which was amazing. Still TCU's season could be off to a rough start if they lose to Air Force next week. Only thing that will save their season is the fact that they play UL-Monroe and Portland State afterwards, I'm sure they still wish they had Texas Tech instead of Portland State though.

21. Northwestern- beat Boston College with their backup QB not bad.

22. Penn State- They handled business, challenge comes this week against Alabama.

23. BYU- Looked very lackluster against Ole Mrs, but they did pull out the win in the end, this slot will probably go to the winner of them vs Texas this week.

24. Maryland- Bit messy in their opener against Miami of Florida but they should improve as the season goes on, their defense and special teams are major concerns.

25. Ohio State- They looked good against Akron but then again it was against Akron, their first test is against Toledo as Toledo attempts to pull an upset on them, Ohio State's special teams will definitely be tested.


On Deck- Texas, USF, Florida, Utah, USC, Northern Illinois, West Virginia, Tulsa, Texas Tech, Houston, Hawai'i, Cal, Illinois, Navy, Cincinnati, Utah State, Ball State, Sacramento State and Richmond.

why are the teams that actually played tough games getting punished for it???

3 people didn't even rank Oregon(other than that the rankings of them is alright)

and hardly anyone has ranked Georgia

both teams lost to top 5 teams, why are they getting punished for actually playing a good team??? instead of being like others and playing Florida Atlantic, Kent State or Chattanooga to start the season.
