What am I missing about Michigan State? Their secondary was awful last year and they lost the best two players (by far).

Michigan St has a sound strategy with their pass defense. Its basically just leaving their secondary guys on islands and then committing pass interference every 3 yards.

For the record 8-4 or 9-3 type seasons make the bottom of the top 25 by seasons end. I think Michigan can pull that off. Hoke recruited pretty well and I think Harbaugh is a great coach. No idea if he can pull that off though. Ain't betting against him. If he fails in year 1 no sweat off my back.

They will not be ranked if they go 8-4 at regular season's end. I guaranty that. They don't play in the SEC or PAC 12. They play in the Big 10 and that's not a good enough conference to have its 8-4 teams get ranked.

It's a ridiculous ranking. Some guy from The USA Today had them at #5 right behind Alabama and right in front of TCU. LOL. I mean they'll be good again this season, but not that good. I'm not sure what that guy was thinking. This isn't 2011 anymore. That season and all those ones before it have now come and gone.

It's just the best, isn't it? Three guys tried to knock that thing down, couldn't do it, and then the rest of the team coming out of the tunnel had to run around it. One win Eastern Michigan, such a joke of a program. It almost makes you feel sorry for them. Embarrassing.
