From what I've read, the main contenders are as follows:

Geno Atkins, DE, Cincinnati Bengals
Von Miller, OLB, Denver Broncos
Aldon Smith, OLB, SF 49ers
J J Watt, DE, Houston Texans
Richard Sherman, CB, Seattle Seahawks

If you think someone else deserves it, please tell us who.

Pretty tough. I'm going with Watt. Smith puts up great numbers but he's also go a lot of other guys around him that draw attention as well. Watt doesn't have quite as much talent around him

Yeah, I went with Watt, too, though Miller was my #2. Overall, it's amazing how much impact elite pass rushers can have on your team's success.

I went with Watt. Not only did he lead the league in sacks but he's passes deflected numbers are just crazy too.

I went with Smith because he's a Niner, but I think Watt is as deserving.

I had to go Watt and not to take anything away from Aldon Smith (we see enough of him in this division to see he's great) but Justin Smith is more valuable to the Niners as we have seen lately with the injury. Aldon isn't the same when they can double on him. I also would have Von Miller as my #2.

This didn't get much response - cutting it loose for the time being.

Gerald McCoy. Its quite simple really. Look at the Bucs Defense when he is not playing. #32 vs the Run when he is hurt. #1 when he plays.

Geno Atkins has been the most dominant at his position since entering the league.

If he played anywhere outside of Cincy (well maybe not Buffalo, KC, etc) ESPN would be drooling all up on his nuts.
