SportsHoopla Hockey Awards - The Hookies

Hey gang,
Since the season is over and things are a little slow here, I thought we'd do an end of season awards for posters on SportsHoopla Hockey to celebrate our first few months.

The 1st Annual SportsHoopla Hockey Awards - The Hookies

RULES:
-Please PM me with your votes to keep it anonymous.
-You can vote for up to 2 posters for each category (you do not have to vote for 2 or in every category, just vote for up to 2 in any and all categories you like)
-Each poster can receive only one vote overall (e.g. - if you voted for someone for best poster, you cannot also vote them for funniest)
-Though I doubt I'd get many votes, I am not eligible to receive or cast votes since people are PMing me and might feel obligated to give me a vote for something b/c of it

CATEGORIES:
-Best Poster - vote for the person you feel is the best overall poster
-Most Hilarious Poster - vote for the person that makes you laugh the hardest
-Best Moderator - vote for the person you think is doing the best job as moderator of the SportsHoopla Hockey forum
-Best Team Knowledge - vote for the poster who offers the best perspective, information, and news about his or her home team
-Best Avatar - vote for the poster whose avatar you like the best

Voting is open until Friday, June 25 at 11:59pm. On Sunday, June 27, I'll announce the 3 nominees (hockey style) for each category. On the last day in June before free agency starts, I'll announce the winners.

Perhaps people have some ideas for additional categories next year, but I thought we'd keep it simple for now and see if people like the idea or not. I stuck with only positive awards to recognize our best and not make this a negative process for anyone.

Great idea! Haha. I like it. Maybe apres July 4th weekend though since I bet the board will be pretty dead.

I also thought we'd give the winner of Dash and Esls' pools official Hookie awards as well. I'm going to make up a special JPEG of a Hookie trophy that winners can put in their sig lines for a little while if they want. And of course Hookie winners will be able to say things like "You make a good point, but I'm a Hookie winner, so I think mine is clearly better" or "That's funny, but not Hookie kinda funny."

I'm not so sure I'm sold on the name "The Hookies" considering that it is already an award for International Escorts.

EDIT: As I painfully just found out, it's Male only Escorts.

Yes, but when you pronounce it, it has a "Hoos" sound to it - more like UVA than Tech.
