The main reason that we've had to watch two frustrating losses and a nailbiter of a win in the last three games (besides the fact that there have been a buttload of penalties called) is that our power play and penalty killing have gone to shit.

Now I can't get to espn at work, so I don't know if these numbers are exact, but they are telling regardless. Our even strength play has rewarded us with 10 goals over the last three games while giving up 7. More or less, that is the positive side of this. Meanwhile, our power play has gone 1 for 19, clicking at a measly 5.3% and our penalty kill has allowed 8 goals in the last 22 chances, for a horrific success rate of 63.6%.

We're obviously a much better team in this area of play, it's just time to start showing it.

Have to bring this back as they're still sucking ballsacks....but at least they were able to pull out the win. If the PP does anything today they win the game in a blowout. Not sure what they need to do to fix it but maybe start shooting from all angles again getting too cute lately. What do you guys think?

On a good note JVR/Richie/Nodl have been very good of late....that bodes well for the team in the long run.
