Lynn has emerged as our true stopper, and that's with all due respect to Giolito and even Rodon. It was without question the best offseason move the Sox made this past winter. Honestly tho, unless Hahn throws a friggin boatload of coinage at him, I don't see how Lynn avoids testing the market. And it will be a doozy if he keeps this up all season.

Your summation may be correct, but Lynn was quoted upon arriving with the Sox that he was looking for a place to play out his career. He is - IMO - a more likely contract extension that Rodon.
