While we should have won all three games - blowing a 6-1 in last night's contest was inexcusable - I'll gladly take 2 out of 3 against the only team in our division with even a ghost of a chance at taking it from us. We're back to 9 up on them. I know some of you (I'm thinking the Jidster here) already feel like we have it wrapped up and that's hard to argue. But I'm old school and my take is similar to Yogi Berra's in that it ain't ovah till it's ovah. Until we mathematically take the division, I'll be following the scoreboards.

Can't say enough about the surprisingly effective Lopez. Man, was his shit ever on today. Excellent job of mixing his pitches and zone locations. THIS was who I thought we were getting several years back. Of course I'm also far from ready to say this is what we can expect from him for most of what's left this season. But if we can count on him for these longer outings when needed, what a boost this will provide.

Finally, 106,333. That's the official attendance count for this 3 game series. What a joy to see the ballpark filled up again!!
