I like waking up just to catch up on the @Jiddy and @idseer game conversation.

Glad to see Robert and Abreu whack some balls into the stands to get this mojo going. The contest now is to see how long La Russa decides to show faith in Moncada batting cleanup - which is becoming a term opposing pitchers use about Yoan.

Get the smelling salts for Keuchel and play a game in the frigging daylight - then come back to Chicago with a 4-3 record. Go Sox!

Win or lose tonight...Rebounding from the Angels disaster with a series win was a good step. Just keep getting 2/3 and all will be well.

-Can't say Gio was at his best last night, but his numbers would have been better if he had solid defense surrounding him. He really only had one really bad inning, which included most of that fugly D. Despite all this, he still racked up 10 Ks in 5.1 innings. In total, the Good Guys nailed 15 Ks against the M's.
-Overall, a pretty decent night for Collins, including that 3 run jack to give us the early lead. I think he kinda botched what was given to Gio as a wild pitch. A more experienced catcher would have at the least kept the ball in front of him. But all in all, a solid performance for the guy.
-Nice to see Robert get off the schneid with his homer; likewise with Vaughn getting his first MLB hit.
-The pen came thru again, showing they will be a force to be reckoned with as the season drags on. A few runners here and there and even a garbage run allowed in the 9th. But as a unit, they were productive for the 2nd consecutive night. Tremendous depth in this group.

Defense is the main problem with this team. Starters having to face extra batters nearly every inning is causing short starts and keeping the bp busy
