Agreed but dumb might not be the word to really describe what he is doing to his case and reputation.

true. He has no one to blame but himself. As much as I dislike the Yankees I am behind them and not A-Fraud

Agree

I expect a Kuroda gem in a 2-0 loss

Holland will breeze past that lineup as easy as he did in the Bronx

I hope so, but Dutchy is a bit inconsistent. For a lefty as good as he can be, he has surprising trouble getting lefties out. Interested to see the lineups.

Too funny the Dr Arod used for his second opinion was fined 40,000 by the New Jersey Attorney General earlier this year for "failing to adequately ensure proper patient treatment involving the prescribing of hormones including steroids" at wellness center he runs. He is trying to get banned and is to dumb to realize it..

The lengths of the stupidity he's employing in this know no boundaries.

He's on his second lawyer...the 1st made a comment along the lines of "if you tell him something he doesn't like or doesn't agree with, you're gone and replaced by someone who will tell him what he wants"...

I still don't think he gets banned...and believe the Yanks are going to make a strong effort to void his contract, personally, I think he played his last game in NY last year...

It was that bad?

It looked very nasty.

EY Jr. turned his head to look back before he even stopped running. He must have felt the bone break. He was really emotional about it, was in tears, wouldn't leave the field until after Hudson was carted off.

Hudson, for his part, seemed to be telling Young that it was ok, he didn't blame him or anything, etc.

Can't blame him. Had his foot on 3/4 of the bag instead of just hugging the outside edge.

Wasn't it 3-4 years ago when I said that Rex is a dumbass and had no business being an NFL head coach?

Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson suffered a fractured right ankle on a gruesome play in the eighth inning of Wednesday's 8-2 win against the New York Mets. Hudson was taken off the field on a stretcher after being injured when Eric Young's spike hit flush on Hudson's ankle at first base. Young hit a sharp grounder that went off the chest of first baseman Freddie Freeman. Hudson raced to the bag to accept the throw, and with his foot on the base, Young stepped on Hudson's ankle, and the foot twisted awkwardly. The veteran pitcher tumbled to the ground in pain and medical personnel were careful not to move his legs, which were bound together. Hudson was then put on a stretcher and lifted onto a cart. Before he was wheeled off the field, Young came over to apologize to Hudson. The Braves said Hudson will have surgery in Atlanta when swelling to the ankle goes down. No timetable was given for recovery, although it appears likely he'll be lost for the season.

Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees appear to be at odds again, this time over his injured quad muscle. Rodriguez asked for a second opinion on the Grade 1 strain and did so without written permission, which is contrary to the collective bargaining agreement. The doctor who looked over Rodriguez's MRI exam told a New York radio station he did not physically examine the embattled slugger, but said he did not "see any sort of injury there." Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said in a statement Wednesday night that the club wants Rodriguez back in the lineup "as soon as possible" and that Rodriguez would be again evaluated on Thursday.

The Boston Red Sox signed infielder Dustin Pedroia to an eight-year contract beginning in 2014 and continuing through the 2021 season. Pedroia is batting .303 with six homers and 58 RBI through 102 games this year. He has a career batting average of .303 with 96 homers and 467 RBI. He was named the 2007 Rookie of Year after hitting .317 with eight homers and 50 RBI in his first full season in the league, then won the AL MVP a year later thanks to a career-best .326 average with 17 homers and 83 RBI.

For the third time this season, the Los Angeles Dodgers have placed outfielder Matt Kemp on the 15-day disabled list. Kemp's latest trip to the DL stems from a sprained left ankle he sustained Sunday, the same day he was activated from his previous DL stint for left AC joint inflammation. The two-time All-Star was injured in the ninth inning of the Dodgers' 7-2 victory over the Washington Nationals when he appeared to roll his ankle on a play at the plate. Kemp, who has missed 37 games already this season, was batting .263 with five home runs and 27 RBI.

The Seattle Mariners announced Wednesday that manager Eric Wedge has suffered a very mild stroke. Wedge was helped from the field during batting practice prior to Monday's game after feeling a dizzy spell. The 45-year-old manager spent the last two days in the hospital, where doctors performed testing that confirmed the stroke. Wedge was released from the hospital Wednesday and is expected to have a full and complete recovery, though he will not be in uniform for Seattle's upcoming series against Minnesota and will not travel with the team on their road trip to Boston and Baltimore. Bench coach Robby Thompson was in charge of the Mariners again Wednesday, when they had their eight-game win streak snapped in a 10-1 loss to Cleveland.
