Xander went yard again last night. 8 total now, in 128 AB's. 1-3 with the solo shot and a walk. WMB, 2-4 with a 2b and a BB. De La Rosa pitched 5 solid 1 ER innings

Ranaudo pitched 5.2 strong innings. 4H 1 run, 3 K's. A bit overdue for a promotion to AAA IMO...

Yes...I have an ounce of objectivity...need to borrow some? Superstar? No....what he is is a 26 year old MLB proven catcher with power...which is a rare commodity...

My OBJECTIVE opinion is that a team that already has a young MLB catcher isn't going to trade him for a minor league catcher that is 2 years away......especially if we're talking about a playoff team, which we are.

Phil Hughes has virtually no value Dirt, sorry...it's the truth, the yanks have been trying to dump him and Joba on teams and none have shown much interest..

....He's a free agent at the end of the season, and has been mediocre at best this year. With Beachy right there waiting in AAA Hughes still wouldn't crack their 5 man...

It makes zero sense for the Braves...unless they were completely out of playoff contention...add the recent injuries in the OF, and you can guarantee Gattis isn't going anywhere...not unless it would considerably improve the MLB club...and gattis for hughes wouldn't accomplish that, again, Sanchez is a minor leaguer so he'd offer nothing to the MLB team until late next year at best.

They're still viewing him as a starter...and are still building his inning count up following tommy john last year...it's why he hasn't been brought up to the pen as they're trying to keep a consistent routine and build up his innings for next year.
