The Giants made more teams look bad last postseason than the Royals did, yet they haven't been in any big fights, let alone three.

I do get the feeling though, that if they played the Royals they would.

Just out of curiosity, how many teams did they sweep that were better than them on paper and had a higher payroll?

Simmer down, Nancy. Just making a point that the Royals playoff run up to the WS was pretty damn impressive. Don't get all dramatic just because someone else has a subjectively different opinion.
But just looking at the maths... 8-0 is a better percentage than 8-2.

I know you aren't familiar with what it's like to win postseason series -- or even make the postseason, for that matter -- but teams generally don't fight teams that made them "look bad" last season. Drilling Lawrie was perfectly acceptable. The only problem was the timing. He should have done it in the first inning and not immediately after a 3 run HR
