While I would not trust sitting on that, it makes me regret not saving my childhood sticks. I dont think using $200 today's sticks to make a chair that will I will fall through is a good idea today with the one-pieces

That was just recorded with a cheap mp3 player set to record sitting on the couch next to us.

Back in the 80's, I used to use a hockey stick with a coathanger taped to it for a remote control for the TV. I taped some beer cans to the middle - for balance - and would "jab" at the channel "up and down" buttons with the coathanger end. It had a range of about 8 feet which was perfect for lying on the couch with.
