What about Moses taking over for Polo? Why haven't we talked about that?

He is more ready then Polumbus that's for damn sure

While I disagree and tended to think Moses was over rated by many around here. I wish they would go ahead and start both he and long just so we get past all the bitching on how horrid Polumbus and Chester are.

Moses was a 3rd round pick. How was he overrated? It is not atypical for a 3rd rd OT to sit for a season or two before they crack the starting line up, if ever.

i want the best 2 o/lineman to play and i could care less if iam "tired " of the bitching

moses and long need to earn the playing time , not have it handed to them

and i get the impression ribeye will get the 1st shot according to the gruden presser

Long is better than Chester...Polumbus is better than Moses right now.

It's hard to judge Polumbus fairly with Chester beside him.

j_y... many around here thought Moses was a first round talent and were freaking the fuck out when we passed on him in the second round. The moment we drafted him in the third, the sentiment was (by some) that he would easily take Polumbus' job simply by being able to put his cleats on the right foot and not put his helmet on backwards. Even now there are some who say he should start despite the fact that coaches say he isnt ready. Im all for it actually. While I think Polumbus is one of the top 5-10 run blocking RTs in the league right now. Its apparent the sentiment around here by some is that we can sacrifice some of our run production in the hopes that Moses and Long can pass block. So yea, screw it, start em both.

i think dean was the main guy . and i think the debate was o/lineman or wr as far as drafting was concerned

no one had us taking murphy

as for who should start the guys starting now should until proven otherwise long and moses dont guarantee an upgrade shark and if they cant block either then the excuse for Rg3 is still the same

sorry to break that to you :suds:

There was one guy that had a hard on for Moses early and kept harping about him. As I've said before, most credible posters on this board recognize that Polumbus is our best RT right now, Moses in no where near ready to play. That doesn't mean we are happy with Polumbus' play, but he isn't even close to being the worst OL we have starting right now. It amuses me how these few always pick Polumbus as the problem. If they actually watched the tape and ignored the bloggers, they would see that most pressure in the pocket occurs from it collapsing in the middle, forcing RG3 to back peddle or escape around the right end. Thats what he did last sunday when he ran into Watt's arms for a sack. Polumbus was actually doing his job OK on that play.

Moses was considered a late first, 2nd round pick at draft time. After the performance by Polo last week that is why I think he should get a shot. I know Polo was playing Houston and we have to take that in account. But if Polo has another bad game against JAX you make the move to Moses. The same goes for Chester. The only way you get experience is to be on the field.

On another note Gabe Jackson is starting for the Raiders at LG this year. Yes we passed on him. SEC all pro lineman.

By whom? Clearly not any of the 32 NFL teams.

Kiper, mcshay, NFL.com, Walter, all the sites we have to go by. I think the skins said they wanted him in the second but wanted Murphy a little more. Not saying I wanted Moses and I don't want him to start anytime soon.
I wanted tuitt, filo, nix btw

All these forcasters and websites blow it on players all the time though. Hell Kiper swore Clausen was a franchise QB in the making for bob's sake.

The bottom line is 32 NFL teams got it right and these wanna be scouts got it wrong. As usual. That's why you can fall in love with their predictions. They have no where near the resources or access to do a through job. All they do is look at film, and just highlights at that.
