LOL... don't need any... was not my intent... just thought you two were obviously heading in different directions (thoughts) and needed some incentive.

Oh, sorry, Flaming is a guy who posts on this board who yells go _____ for guys with large rep power trying to get them to rep him. He's a tool. I'm up for the bet, and I'm looking for a good Brett Favre pic for him to put up.

As long as one MLB team is allowed to spend 10X the amount of other MLB teams, I don't consider baseball a real sport.

Who spends 10x the amount?

Yankees didn't win it this year. Or last. In fact, 7 of the top ten payrolls didn't even make the playoffs yet the second to last team in payroll did. The two teams in the series? In the middle. The two of the past 3 years before that? Two of (close to) the lowest paying teams in the AL made the series. Ever heard of moneyball and building through the draft? I mean, they did make a book and a movie about it and baseball nerds like me find value in players using mathematics instead of popularity. Yeah, I understand that the Yankees have won a lot of series and them and Boston are good almost every year, but also every year a low payroll team surprises everybody. The Rays, Cardinals, and Brewers are all smaller market teams and were in the playoffs.

There should be no sport with such a disparity between the amounts spent by teams. It's not a real sport. Fuck baseball. It blows.

It's just not good for any sport. For this to be acceptable is asinine. To blatantly allow one team an unfair advantage over everyone else brings absolutely nothing to the table.

The sports world, and especially football, is the only place on earth where socialism has proven successful.........baseball should follow football's lead imo......

I'm not even sure how the NFL got it so right from the get-go. Lucky?

There is a notable antagonism between top earning (Jerry Jones) and bottom earning (Mike Brown) owners....Jones has openly wondered why Brown has done so little to increase his revenue, notably why he won't sell the stadium name.....

Well that one is easy...Mikey is the ultimate family guy.

My post was mostly in reference to the system in place and how it effects the actual sport. The other little quibbles will always remain no matter how close to perfect a system.
