How was the 2016 draft strategy a mistake? With PG and Dj both to become Fa why wouldn't we select a WR in Round 1? Plus he was a bargain where we got him it was just unfortunate that he got hurt. IF Cravens becomes our SS of the future he was a solid pick also. Fuller was selected b/c Breeland is going to hit FA next year and we couldn't count on Dunbar.

The rest of the points seem to be ok.

Pretty much agree with that article. Cutler or Taylor are not equal to Cousins.

DJax is a Ferrari, Pierre is an F-150, Ferrari's are nice to have but you are better off in a day to day situation with an F-150. Crowder, Doctson and Garcon.

Defense needs some serious upgrading. First two picks should be defense ... at least.

Need more of a running game, whether it is a veteran or rookie they need more than they had last year.

Seems a bit harsh on last year's draft and I don't agree with signing a veteran rb or choosing garcon over djax.

First 2 points seem good

Why would you pay djax over Garcon? Djax is going to cost more money and is very injury prone. When you need the tough 3rdfdown catch Djax is not the guy. Yes he stretches the field but PG can do more for us.

There is not one single player in last years draft you can say made a big impact. Doctson didn't play. Cravens played out of position and only 11 games, Fuller played more but I sure am hoping there is more to see, Ionman as dad calls him played but did not distinguish himself.

lol. Cravens won the 1st Giants game for us. You don't write these guys off b/c they were hurt.

Disagreeing or agreeing with what's said in the article aside. If recent reports are true and Scotty Mac is merely some figurehead GM with no real juice, all of which seems to belong to Allen. Why then is Scotty Mac being blamed for anything that's happening and/or not happening at present?

It seems to me that if Allen really is calling the shots and that includes the amount of power he doles out or doesn't dole out to GMSM to use. As long as articles continiue to come out blaming SM for why Cousins isn't signed. Or why is the defense still so shitty. Than Bruce Allen's off-field winning bullshit is just rolling along unimpeded.

I used to believe that Snyder was an idiot, but that he really did want the Redskins to return to being a winning. top tier outfit. I'm not so sure about that anymore. And Allen just seems like your SOP ass0 who isn't gonna give up whatever power he has. Even if that means destroying the very thing that he should be protecting or trying to bulid back up.

I know for a fact that is was Sm decision to draft Sherff over Williams at the draft. SM has power, just not all the power.

I agree but it's been a year and it's not like doctsons injury was foreseeable

There have been posts over the last year by various posters that claimed the Redskins wanted to focus on upgrading the offense these last 2 drafts. A few posts even claimed that Gruden went to SM and asked him to draft with the intent to upgrade the offense. If any of that is true. Maybe its that intent that lent to drafting Sherff over Williams.

I heard the report that Sm trumped his scouting staff and coaching staff on the Scherff draft selection. Gruden even commented on the Scherff pick in one of his post game conferences. I forgot which one. Sm was the one who made the draft trade to go down and take Jones versus staying pat and taking David Johnson. Cmon man call a spade a spade.

Yep, doesn't mean it can't work out but going off of last year there wasn't much to holler about.

I have no problem calling a spade a spade. Or a heart or a club for that matter. I have to at least think I know what the fuck I'm talkin about though. And when it comes to the inner workings of the Redskins brass. I'm not even gonna pretend I have an inkling of what the fuck is going on anymore. Except to say, it seems not much has changed at all. There are people within the brass that are bound and determined to keep whatever position they have. Even if that means it will hurt the Redskins where I least want them to be hurt and that's on the field of play.

Im just pointing out Sm made those decisions that I just explained. You are saying he is just a puppet. He is not.

OK. You win the internets and I readily admit my defeat.

I do have a question though. Would the Redskins be better off today had they drafted Williams instead of Schreff?

No need to answer that as I believe the most correct answer is..................the Redskins would've found a way to fuck that off as well and so it goes................
