wouldnt bet on it
Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports that MLB's proposal to the MLBPA includes a revision to the Operations Manual which would require players to sign an "acknowledgment of risk" waiver before playing.
Much like the newest offer from MLB regarding pay, this doesn't appear to be well-received by the players. In fact, Castillo hears that the players believe the goal of the "acknowledgement of risk" waiver is to undermine their ability to challenge MLB for possible unsafe working conditions amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The health side has always been a serious part of talks, but the assumption was that it would be easier to find common ground there than the subject of player salary. At this point, maybe nothing is going to come easy here.
The owners can shove it up their fuckin asses. If there's no season, it's on them. It's ridiculous how much they're trying to screw the players over.
oh boywouldnt bet on it

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but judging by a few player tweets today it sounds like this won't fly. Leave it to MLB and the MLBPA to completely bungle what could have been a huge opportunity and turn it into a potential disaster.

Shits weird how it all works out. The Red Sox got dogged and hard for that trade and in the end they're on track to have committed high way robbery in getting Verdugo for nothing.I don't understand baseball
They're crazy
Also I'd just like to point out that the Red Sox were playing some kind of 4-D chess in getting a haul for Mookie Betts without him even playing for the Dodgers before he becomes a free agent.

i wonder how that will all play out? a missed season...does it count as a year of service? Also I'd just like to point out that the Red Sox were playing some kind of 4-D chess in getting a haul for Mookie Betts without him even playing for the Dodgers before he becomes a free agent.
I wish Mookie Betts, Mookie Wilson, Pork Chop Pough, and Ducky Wucky Medwick could have all played togetheri wonder how that will all play out? a missed season...does it count as a year of service?
