I think it's safe to say 11 spots are locked up

B12 Winner
ACC Winner
MWC winner
Oregon
Ohio State
Penn State
Indiana
Texas
UGA
Tennessee
ND

That leaves one spot, presumably for Miami/Bama/So Car

Who gets the last spot? Who should get it?

Obviously if SMU and or Boise loses this weekend then they'd go into the at large pull too

Would you put one of those 2 inb if they lose? Or sticl with one of the first 3?

BSU loss this weekend and they are out.

If SMU gets bounced for losing to a top-12 team in a CCG then we riot.

Well Clemson is likely going to be more like 17-19 tomorrow

And yea, only room for one mid major this year. Boise is out if they lose.

Miami 10-2 with losses to a 9-3 Cuse team and Ga Tech who big bad Georgia needed 8 ots to win but let’s get bama in with their losses to vandy and Oklahoma lol

I'm with you man. But you know Bama somehow sneaks in.

11-2 SMU is in over 10-2 Miami. Without a doubt.

I’m not mad at that but I doubt it. I don’t think losing in a power 5 title game should change your playoffs position much because you are playing a 13th game that most teams aren’t dealing with but I’m sure the committee don’t see it the same way I do

Honestly, I'm fully expecting a "we didn't want to punish Georgia for having to play Texas and also SMU is out because they lost to Clemson."

I think SMU gets in regardless of whether they win or lose. If SMU wins the ACC Title, I suspect Miami will get in.

This is easier...
Group A
(1)Oregon (12-0)*
(2)Texas (11-1)*
(3)SMU (11-1)*
(4)Penn St (11-1)
(5)Notre Dame (11-1)
(6)Georgia (10-2)
(7)Ohio St (10-2)
(8)Arizona St (11-2) or Iowa St (11-2)*

Group B
(1)Boise St (11-1)*
(2)UNLV (10-2)
(3)Army (10-1)*
(4)Memphis (10-2)
(5)Tulane (9-3)
(6)Louisiana (11-2) or Marshall (10-3)*
(7)Jacksonville St (8-4)*
(8)Miami (OH) (8-4)*

Two separate playoffs. No CCGs unless necessary (see Group A #8 and Group B #6).

If Oregon wins the BIG TEN championship game where do they play the quarterfinal? I’m assuming #1 seed gets to choose the location? I suppose the Rose bowl? Then #2 chooses from what’s left? Etc etc

The world should root for CLEMSON to beat SMU by 2 points in multiple overtimes.....

Let them explain then how Alabama still gets in over SMU in that scenario.
