We were 10-6 last year.. with Foles and Sanchez

So we lost Maclin, we lost Mccoy

We gained Ryan Matthews....however a Second year Huff and Matthews has to be much improved over a rookie Huff and Matthews right? Zach Ertz came on very strong at the end of the year, we were already minus Herremans last year so no loss there right?

Matthews has a career 4.4 average, very solid, Sproles easily can average 4.5 plus and Polk should be able to put up 4 plus yards a carry...Can we duplicate McCoys production with these 3? I personally think yes we can. We may add Demarco Murray or a back in the draft so it can only get better. I am 100% positive we will add a few more receivers, how do i know this, well we can't only have 3 rostered WR's so i'm certain we will improve at the WR position.

Defense
We added Kiko Alonso, Byron Maxwell and Walter Thurmond....That is HUGE to an already solid front 7. Clearly we will add a Safety or two and perhaps another CB via the draft....So one would have to assume we greatly improved here.

The Key here is the health of Sam Bradford. There is no question a healthy Sam Bradford has a ton of ability, however that is a BIG "IF" what we do know is that Mark Sanchez put up quite a few points in Chips offense last year. With a much improved Defense, shouldn't the offense have more opportunities, regardless of who is Qb? The draft clearly will only make this team even better.

I still think the Rams Raped us in that trade, however overall we are IMO clearly a better football team than last year.....Thoughts?

Still got some work to done both sides of the ball. Signing Murray would be HUGE.

If Mariota is now out of the picture & it seems he is. I gotta think we'll be going OG in rd. 1.

If Bradford is healthy we win 13. The D looks like it will be special and Bradford can play. We need another CB, S, G and this team is badass. If Bradford gets hurt we're 10-6. Although the health factor takes a huge leap of faith, I'm 100% with Chip. Systems win unless you're a superstar and we have a system.

Couldn't have said it better, myself.

We still need a WR early in the draft. While I understand the Eagles not thinking Maclin's worth 11 mil, you have to have a backup plan to replace that spot. Mathews did well last year, but that was from the slot ... it is a different ball game when he moves outside. Not saying he can't do well, but it's a different role. Josh Huff is a guy many seem to be high on, but I didn't see anything that screamed potential impact player. We also still need a Guard ... we jettisoned Herremans and still haven't filled the role. Not worried much about RB ... as has been my thinking for a while, it's an easy position to fill. Matthews is injury prone, but when he's healthy he's a prime time RB. We'll also draft one for depth in case Matthews goes down which is likely at some point.

On D we still need to fill that 2nd Safety spot ... pretty sure we will, just want them to do it already.

The key to the season will obviously be Bradford. If he stays healthy I think we're a playoff team ... if he goes down the odds go down considerably. That being said we still won 10 games this past season despite having Sanchize at the helm for half the season and two bums at the Corner position.

We still need a #1 CB and another S. But overall our D is improved with the addition of him and Kiko.

Maxwell is a huge upgrade but is a #2 CB. Cary Williams will look just as good as Maxwell looked in Seattle. And just a tad better then I would look as the #2 CB in Seattle.

Offense is downgraded. You can't lose your top RB and a top 5 RB in the league and your top WR and a top 10 WR in the league and replace them with nobodies and say theres and upgrade. Only a nut hugger would say otherwise. Losing Heremans was nothing though. So they need to get a QB, RB, #1WR and OG yet for the offensive side of the ball. We have definitely gotten worse on this side of the ball.

The Birds will miss Maclin a lot more than Shady imo. I want the Birds to go WR early.

Nick Foles is glad to be out of Philadelphia.

Foles, the former Eagles quarterback who was traded to the Rams for Sam Bradford and draft picks yesterday, apparently wanted to leave. Sal Paolantonio of ESPN said on 97.5 The Fanatic that a Foles relative described Foles as ecstatic to no longer be an Eagle.

“I just talked to a member of Nick Foles’s family. He is absolutely pumped, overjoyed he’s out of Philly,” Paolantonio said.

Matthews is better than Maclin. We'll definitely get another but I think we'll score points regardless. The secondary improvement will be the biggest difference.

I wonder if we sign Murray and trade A RB for a pick? I think we take a WR at 20.. I think Devin Smith may be a target that Chip likes.. We will pick up a cb, s, and OL in mid to later rounds IMO.

Why is a Skins fan posting this on our board. It's a terrible way to troll.

Of course Foles is happy. All evidence points to the fact that Kelly never warmed to him, for whatever reason.

I've liked Matthews for a while ... heck, I posted about him on our KFFL draft thread be4 most people even knew who he was. That being said, he still hasn't played on the outside at the pro level ... and if he's the best we have, he'll draw the top defenders. I think we need a legit threat opposite him who's much better than what Huff showed this past season.
